Short story school forestry "Birch"
We consider February 8, 2012 as the birthday of the school forestry "Berezka" of the Russian-Paevsky secondary school. On this day, order No. 6 "On the organization of school forestry" was signed, guided by the agreement of the MBOU "Russian-Paevskaya secondary school" with the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Mordovia dated December 22, 2011 for the purpose of environmental education of school students, the formation of a careful attitude to natural resources native land. The teacher of biology Gordeeva Olga Ivanovna was appointed responsible for the creation of a school forestry in the amount of 16 people. At the school line of students, schools received information about the creation of a school forestry. The school held a competition for the approval of the emblem, motto, anthem of the school forestry. 16 students of the school voluntarily wrote an application to join its ranks. In February, a general meeting was held, at which the students were accepted as members of the school forestry. They chose the Council of the ShL, developed a charter, regulation, a plan for the further work of the forestry. Students unanimously voted for the name of the forestry - "Birch". After all, it is precisely the alley of 25 birches that meets each student at the gates of the school. This picturesque corner always gives children and adults a lot of joy and extraordinary beauty at any time of the year, and it is also a living corner for phenological observations.

The school forestry "Berezka" of the Russian-Paevsky secondary school was formed in February 2012.

In 2012 it was developed legal framework: Agreement on cooperation between the MBOU "Russian-Paevskaya secondary school" and the State Public Institution of the Republic of Moldova "Kovylkinskoe territorial forestry", order, regulation and charter on school forestry, the main forms of the direction of work, symbols. All this made it possible to transfer the activities of the school forestry to “legal work”.

The territory of the forest area is assigned to the school forestry "Beryozka": block No. 80, allotments from 5 to 20, with an area of ​​39 hectares of the Insarsky section of the Kovylkinsky interleskhoz of the Insarsky district. The forest is located 6 kilometers south of the school, and students have the opportunity to travel regularly by bicycle or by school bus for forestry and environmental work. One of the important conditions for the preservation of a favorable environment for humans and wildlife is environmental education based on a set of knowledge gained at school. After all, regardless of who today's student will grow up to be and what profession he will master, he remains a user of nature: each of us uses water, air, forest and other resources every day. The knowledge about cause-and-effect relationships in nature, acquired by schoolchildren today, will serve as the basis for them in the future when making the right decisions in different areas activities.

The goal set by the members of the school forestry is to form a person who is able to correctly assess situations in the environment, make the right decisions and actively participate in nature conservation.
Forestry activities

The situation is worse with forest plantations, where there is much more garbage: food waste, various rags, and scrap metal is found. This can be explained by the complete indifference of some people to nature. We plan to treat this "indifference" in the new year with explanatory work about the dangers of garbage among the population. It is necessary to bring to an adult a simple truth that it is impossible to consider the territory cleaned from garbage, if it is simply even removed away into the bushes or slightly covered with earth.

Forest protection "Green Patrol"

The forest is fresh air, it is pure light waters, these are our uniquely beautiful flowers and medicinal herbs, this animal world.

Everything that makes up the forest today needs protection now more than ever. Unfortunately, today few people remember that the forest is the green gold of our country.

Every year, people in the forest arrange garbage dumps, unorganized recreation, and thereby make a feasible contribution to the destruction of natural wealth.

Ecologically clean areas of our forest serve as a source of medicinal raw materials, and the craze of people in the treatment of various diseases with wild medicinal plants will lead to the fact that many of them will simply be destroyed. Oregano, St. John's wort and many other medicinal plants break out, branches of flowering linden break. The disappearance of plants will also have a detrimental effect on the animal world, since plants are at the very beginning of the food chain, and oregano is already becoming a rare species in our area.

It is necessary to direct all efforts to preserve the natural wealth of our region. We carry out educational work among the younger generation and the local population in order to preserve the biogeocenoses of our area, and this great work on the protection of forest cultures was carried out by the Green Patrol, a faithful protector of plants, a watch forest, saved more than one plant.

With the onset of spring, active work was carried out to prevent forest fires - the guys from the sentinel group. to prevent fires, warning signs were installed, explanatory work was carried out among schoolchildren and the public. The students printed leaflets, created a presentation "To the Visitor of the Forest", released lightning during the fire season in order to prevent forest fires. It is gratifying to note that there were no fires in the forest.
Nature protection activity.

The work of the school forestry "Beryozka" provides for the environmental activities of young lovers of the forest. They promote certain rules of behavior in the forest, organize a widespread study of nature, the forest community, which instills in every student a sense of responsibility - to stand up for it.

Operation Anthill

In early spring, Operation "Anthill" was carried out, within which we identify anthills in the territory of the forest plot assigned to us. The studies carried out by the children were mainly of a exploratory and educational nature. The operation was carried out with a specialist Tyurina G.V.

This year we found 5 anthills, the research was carried out by Korolev Artem. All anthills turned out to be giants, the height was more than 70 cm. But the most important thing is that we fenced 2 anthills to save forest animals and humans from destruction.

A forest is healthy if there are at least four anthills for every hectare. It has been established that if the forests were left without ants, then the damage caused by pests could be compared with a fire. Ants are the most industrious orderlies of the forest. In just one day, they bring about 20 thousand insects to the anthill. In the extermination of forest pests, red ants are not inferior to birds: one ant family destroys a huge number of caterpillars, pupae, and larvae in a day near the ground, where birds almost never descend.

A living stream runs, carries leaves, insects, needles. And all these are our red forest ants, forest orderlies, hard workers. They work from day to day, build their towers. But the trouble is, forest animals tear anthills too often. Then schoolchildren come to the aid of forest ants, they enclose anthills, protect them from ruin.
Action "Our wintering birds"

Winter is the most severe time for birds, as there is less and less food available to them, which means that almost all birds go hungry during the harsh season, and some of them even die of starvation.

A good tradition of our school is holding the action "Our wintering birds". Helping birds is a very simple, affordable and noble occupation for all nature lovers, therefore, every year we make feeders, hang them up and help the birds with pleasure, and as part of the work of the school forestry, this is practical work to protect and attract birds.

In our school, the work consists of three stages. The first stage is the "Bird Pantry" campaign. We have collected rowan berries, seeds of various plants, watermelon seeds, pumpkins for feeding birds in the winter. Children bring pieces of unsalted fat from home - a delicacy for titmouse, unroasted seeds, millet, sunflower seeds.

The second stage of the action "Feeder" - the manufacture of feeders and regular feeding of birds in winter. The students are engaged in the manufacture of feeders at the lessons of labor training, they also make them at home for the competition of the holiday "Zinoviy Sinichnik". These are wooden, plastic feeders. On the territory of the school, feeding of birds is carried out at 10 feeders according to the schedule drawn up by the assets of the Beryozka ShL, starting from elementary grades, ending with 11. During the holidays and on frosty days, teachers carried out feeding. Sparrows and tits were frequent visitors to the feeders. Bullfinches also flew to school birch trees, waxwings were also seen. The children observed the arriving birds and photographed them.

In March is held The final stage- action "Storkhouse". One of the most important activities to attract birds is the arrangement of artificial nests. Schoolchildren make and hang artificial bird nests.

As we learned from the media, birdhouses in Russia began to hang out many centuries ago. Scientists conducted studies on the number of starlings in former USSR through a questionnaire survey. It turned out that in rural areas they occupied 22.5 million birdhouses! There were an average of 60 birdhouses per 100 households in the south of the European part of the country, and 91 in Siberia. Unfortunately, nowadays it is very rare to see such a number of birdhouses near the house, but we can change this situation if we make bird houses ourselves . This year we were pleased with such a pleasant picture. The villagers learned that schoolchildren make birdhouses and asked the children to make birdhouses for the residents as well. There were especially many orders from the village of Zasechnaya Sloboda. Members of the Beryozka SL not only fulfilled the order, but also hung birdhouses near the residents' houses, for which their work was rewarded with sweet candies. In total, we hung 21 houses and 3 titmouses.
Promotion "Birdhouse"

Board nests (birdhouses) are made of boards 2-2.5 cm thick. Inside, the walls are left planed to make it easier for the birds to crawl out.

A hole is made in the front wall - the nests are knocked together tightly so that there are no gaps left.

The order of knocking together: a plank is nailed to the back of the back from the inside to attach the nesting box to the tree; first attach the side walls to the bottom, then the front and back. The cover is double. Its lower part should freely enter the nesting box. A tight lid will swell and won't come off.

Outside, the birdhouse is covered with dark paint so that it does not stand out among the greenery. The smells of fresh wood and oil paint do not deter birds. They are hung in the spring before the arrival of birds.

The starling prefers birdhouses hung along the edges, on separate trees. On large trees, it is permissible to hang 2-3 birdhouses, but at different heights and with notches in different directions.

The great tit chooses blind corners. Her favorite trees are oak, pine. Nests are hung at a height of 3-5 m from the ground on thick trunks and with a notch facing the dense branches of a neighboring tree. The distance between titmouses should be at least 50 m.

Of great importance is the position of nesting on trees. Upturned nests are poorly populated by birds, as it is very difficult for them to get out of the nest. It is better to give the nesting place a slight tilt forward, attaching to the tree a side rather than a back wall.

Conclusion: the students of our school, actively participating in the action "Our wintering birds" saved more than one flock of forest dwellers in a cold and hungry time for them.

Why take care of birds? Birds save our garden and forest from the destruction of various pests. They eat countless harmful insects in all phases of their development. Birds continuously eat more food by weight than their own per day.

So the starling, per day - 300 large caterpillars, the titmouse - up to 6000 different insects. A pair of tits, together with bred or in the current season of offspring, exterminates up to 15 kg of insects per year.
Campaign "Clean Spring"

The well-known expression “water is the source of life” is very relevant at the present time. It is important to remember the origins that give life to all living things.

Therefore, work on the study and conservation of springs in this area is currently relevant.

Rational use water is one of the most important modern problems of nature protection for all mankind.

The guys from the school forestry "Beryozka" this year studied the history of the appearance of a spring in the village of Zasechnaya Sloboda, made an excursion in order to familiarize themselves with the location of the spring, study its taste. They also cleaned the springs located in the territory of the village of Russian Paevka. We cannot beautifully ennoble this spring on our own, due to the lack of lumber. In the new year of work, we will ask the Insar forestry to help in this matter.

Helping a spring means helping your health, helping to preserve the natural wealth of our Motherland. During the excursion, the children gained knowledge about water purification, a boost of energy in communication with nature.

Environmental education activities

The students sang the national anthem, the holiday was fun and interesting.

The preparation and holding of the ecological month is managed by the asset of the school forestry together with the head. At the meeting, council members distribute duties among themselves, nominate candidates for a particular role, are responsible for preparing exhibits for the exhibition, conduct explanatory work in classes, and advise individual students. At this event, the children learned about the importance of modern environmental problems, the isolation of man from wildlife. Class hour "Birds of our forest"

Birds are dear to us as part of nature, a forest without birds is a dead forest. Their melodic, cheerful, ringing songs, bright plumage enliven nature, instill vigor and joy in us. The class hour was prepared and conducted by children from the 6th grade. Everyone prepared a story about a bird that lives in our forest. The children learned a lot of interesting things about the life of birds. Why the cuckoo lays its eggs in other people's nests, and the woodpecker's tongue reaches 15 centimeters, the guys learned all this and other facts from the life of birds. In addition, the children learned how they can help wintering birds, how to hang birdhouses and why the distance between them in the forest should be at least 40-50 meters. Students were shown a colorful presentation, held an exhibition of books.

One of the types of work of the school forestry is the organization and conduct of excursions and trips to nature, as well as along the ecological trail "Path". During excursions, hikes, our school students were constantly in the natural environment, in direct contact with the natural world. The natural environment in which children are located contributes to overcoming environmental illiteracy and consumer attitude to nature, allows them to focus on harmonizing relations with the natural environment and develop the correct environmental positions for each of them.

During the excursion "Autumn Forest", the students not only saw seasonal changes in plant life, noted the causes of leaf fall, but also collected birch, acacia, mountain ash, bird cherry, maple leaves for making a herbarium, and received a task at home: to collect fruit and berry leaves trees and shrubs.

For a short period of existence, our school forestry "Beryozka" has already developed its own traditions. This is a holiday of autumn, birds, quizzes, a drawing competition, excursions and educational trips, monthly councils of foresters. But the guys started research activities with the subsequent development and protection of projects.

Educational and research work

Korolyov Artem conducted research on the study of the animal world of nearby forests. The purpose of his research: to study the features of the animal world of our region. Artyom found traces of a wild boar, a fox, a hare in the investigated area of ​​the forest. badger and its hole, a population of hazel grouse. He also took photographs of the forest, forest landscapes.

Lisenkov Sergey wrote the research work "Who Plants the Forest". In the course of this work, he personally met and studied the biography of the chief forester of the Insar forestry, Lyakhovsky E.S., whose labor activity was connected with the life of the forest.

Takazina Tatyana studied the product of the vital activity of bees - honey. Tanya conducted many experiments to study the quality of honey. Her research work was called - "In the apiary of grandfather."

Zarubina Irina in her poems sang the beauty of her native nature, her small homeland. In the research work "Dedicated to Chelmodeevsky Maidan" in the nomination "Test of the pen" Irina presented poems of her own composition.

The students of our school are active participants in the regional and republican competition - "Let's protect the forest", the All-Russian competition - "CHIP", school and regional olympiads in biology and ecology. Within the framework of the week of biology, a school conference "Forest and Man" was held.

Conclusion

MBOU "Russian-Paevskaya secondary school" through the school forestry "Beryozka" during 2012, dealt with the issues of environmental education and education of schoolchildren, attracting schoolchildren to participate in environmental campaigns. 2. Socio-pedagogical substantiation of the program.

Environmental education of the younger generation is an urgent need of today, and therefore one of the most important tasks is to teach students deep environmental knowledge and instill in them the skills of a conscious environmental culture of behavior in work and at home. It is the formation of ecological culture in children that lays the foundation for the relationship between man and nature.

A good citizen is not born at once, but is brought up for a long time. In the upbringing of a citizen with an active life position, a conscious attitude to duty, when the unity of word and deed becomes the daily norm of behavior, the upbringing of industriousness becomes important.

But hard work cannot be brought up with words alone. Socially useful labor feasible for the health of children and age - real labor, necessary for society - is a prerequisite. One of the forms of labor that develops the child's body, instills an ecological culture and love for nature, improves the health of students, is the work of school forestry.

Members of the school forestry are enthusiastically engaged in comprehending the difficult work of foresters. And although the production task of the young friends of the forest is not as ambitious as that of adults, but the measure of responsibility for the final result of their work is the same as that of adults - real. And this gives the members of the school forestry confidence in their strengths and abilities. This is the basis on which the interest in future profession, civic engagement and self-esteem.
