experimentation.

It so happened that in New Year I received several books from the Great Children's Encyclopedia series as a gift from Santa Claus. In one of them I read about water. I was interested in this information and I wanted to know more about its properties.

- The entire surface of the planet Earth consists of land and water.

Land occupies a third of the Earth, and the rest of the space is water, that is, seas, oceans. I call the earth the blue planet. Water is one of the most amazing and mysterious substances.

Water is one of the most valuable natural resources. Composition of water: 11% hydrogen and 89% oxygen.

Without water, there was no life on Earth. Every living organism is at least half (50%) water.

For example:
Medusa -98%
The human brain - 77%
Adult - 60%
Bones and wood - 50%

Chinese wisdom says:

    When I listen, I forget.

When I see, I remember for a long time.

    When I do, I understand.

Slide 10 (introductory activity) 2-3 sentences

Practical work:

Experience 1. I took an empty glass and put it under the water tap. Water filled the glass and began to pour out of it - the water is flowing.

slide 12

Experience 2. I took two glasses, poured milk into one of them, and water into the other. Then I put spoons in both glasses. In a glass of water, the spoon is visible, but in a glass of milk, no: water is transparent.

slide 13

Experience 3. Add a little greenery to a glass of water, it has dissolved in water.

Water dissolves liquid substances.

Slide 14

Water changes color depending on the substances that are added to it.

slide 15 and 16

Experience 4. There are glasses of water on the table. Add salt to one and sugar to the other. The salt and sugar have dissolved.

Water also dissolves solids.

Slide 17

Experience 5. Pour water into different containers. Water takes the form of the vessel in which it is poured, in each vessel it takes different shape.

Water has no form.

Slide 18

Experience 6. We heat water to a boil. The kettle is boiling. The water turns into steam and evaporates.

Slide 19

Experience 7. I poured water into a glass and put it in the freezer. The water turned to ice.

When the temperature drops below 0 degrees, water turns into ice and increases its volume.

Experience 8. There is a glass of water on the table. If we smell the water, we understand the water is odorless.

Experience 9. There is a glass of water on the table. I tasted the water.

If I put sugar, the water will be sweet.

If you put salt, the water becomes salty.

By adding lemon? The water becomes acidic.

22 slide poem music

Have you heard of water?

She says everywhere

In a puddle, in the sea, in the ocean

And at the faucet

Like an icicle, it freezes

Creeps into the forest with mist,

It's called a glacier in the mountains,

Ribbon silver curls.

We are used to the fact that water

    Our companion always!

    We can't wash without it.

    Don't eat, don't drink

    I dare to tell you:

    We can't live without her!

The spring dried up, the stream weakened.

And we are from the tap - drip, cap, cap….

Shallow rivers and seas

Do not waste water in vain, in vain, in vain ....

And then a few years will pass

And there is no water - no, no, no ....

Project relevance

As part of current standard 2009 one of the most important requirements of the organization pedagogical activity– application of the activity approach in teaching. Therefore, it is necessary to use active methods and forms of work of students in the classroom. In our opinion, the most productive method is the search, experimental, research activities. It enables students to visually see the result of the activity and draw their own conclusions. And from a pedagogical point of view, it is an effective means of forming a number of important UUDs.

Water is the most amazing stuff on the ground.

Each person is familiar with water: more than once he splashed in the rain, splashing puddles, let boats into streams, splashed in a river or sea. But let's take a closer look at it - get acquainted with the properties of this extraordinary substance.

Introduction

This year I moved to the fifth grade, and we began to study a new, very interesting subject - biology. In the lesson, I learned that from the windows spaceships The Earth's surface appears blue. This is because 71% of the planet's surface is covered in water and ice.

If the glaciers melt, the water in the World Ocean will rise by more than 50 meters, which will lead to the flooding of giant land areas around the globe. It seems to me that it would be more correct to call our planet not Earth, but Water or Ocean. (see fig.1)

Few of us have thought about what water is. She accompanies us everywhere and it seems that there is nothing more ordinary and simple. However, this is not the case. Almost all properties of water are an exception in nature. She really is the most amazing substance in the world.

Scientists have already learned a lot about water, unraveled many of its mysteries. But the more they study water, the more they become convinced of the inexhaustibility of its properties, some of which still defy explanation.

And here's what I put in front of me:

Target: explore the amazing properties of water.

Tasks:

  • study information on this topic;
  • learn about the importance of water in nature and its application in human economic activity;
  • to get acquainted with the physical and chemical properties of water;
  • conduct experiments demonstrating the amazing properties of water and try to connect them with natural phenomena.

Object of study: water

Subject of study: water properties.

Hypotheses: although water is the standard of several quantities, it is the most anomalous substance in nature and our everyday understanding of it does not always correspond to reality;

If the properties of water were not so unusual, then life on Earth would be impossible, or it would take on completely different forms.

  • To consolidate knowledge about the properties of water and the different states of water in nature.
  • To form the first elementary knowledge about the water cycle in nature.
  • Develop observation

Questions that arose during the study

  • Where is water found on Earth? Should we conserve water?
  • What properties does water have?
  • Water conditions.

Water reserves on Earth.

  • Look at the globe. This is how astronauts see Earth from space. If you quickly rotate the globe, it will seem that it is one-color - blue. And all because there is more of this paint on it than white, green, brown. blue color the seas, oceans of our planet are depicted.
  • Water covers 3/4 of the earth's surface. Water is everywhere. A thick layer of air envelops the entire globe in a continuous shell. And there is a lot of water, steam, clouds, clouds, etc. in the air.
  • There is also water underground (springs, etc.). Huge accumulations of ice are located near the North and south poles. There is ice on land and in the ocean.

Water reserves on Earth.

Land ¼ of the surface. Water ¾ surface

Water is part of every living organism. It is enough to crush the leaf of the plant in your hands, and we will find moisture in it. Water is found in all parts of plants. Remember how much juice is in fruits - watermelon, orange, lemon. This juice is water with dissolved in it various substances. But even in dry plant seeds there is water, although not in such a large amount.

patterns on glass

Water comes in three states: 1. Solid (ice, snow).

Where do the puddles go? Why is it raining?

Let's conduct an experiment: On a sunny day, we prepared 2 glasses and a plate. Both glasses were turned upside down and placed side by side: one on a plate, the other on the ground. Left for 2 hours.

  • Observed: The glass, standing on the ground, fogged up inside, and drops of water flowed down its walls. The glass on the plate remained dry.

Conclusion: Water evaporates when heated. Invisible steam rises. In contact with a cold object, it turns back into water. Water droplets expand, break off and fall. There is a water cycle.

Water in nature exists in three states: liquid solid and gaseous . Water constantly commits cycle, evaporates from the surface of the earth, forms clouds and in the form rain and snow returns to the ground.
