Today, in many Russian villages, they swear, as they say, both old and young (in the village it is simply more obvious and noticeable). The generation of our grandparents, who were educated in parochial schools, has passed away; swearing was practically completely absent in their speech.

Now the older generation is those whose youth fell on the years of the first Soviet five-year plans, then the society actively eradicated the "people's opium" - religion. And along with this, the moral requirements for the native language have significantly decreased.

Characteristically, the level of education does not always affect the culture of speech. Many of our artists, athletes and politicians sin with foul language.

Philologists believe that in order to protect the Russian language, it is necessary to study it more deeply at school. Almost all experts in the field of language admit that in order to protect speech from a non-normative "tumor", it is necessary from childhood to read more Russian literature, to speak correctly in the family.

More than half of the respondents believe that it is necessary to fight for the purity of the language by all available means. This idea is especially popular among citizens over 60 years of age. 61 percent of survey participants believe that the state should fight for cleanliness by all means mother tongue. This opinion is shared by more than half of the respondents from among young people aged 18 to 24 years.
