Why did the Chelyabinsk meteorite explode? Where did the Chelyabinsk meteorite come from and why it was impossible to detect it. Consequences of a meteorite fall

MOSCOW, February 14 - RIA Novosti. A year ago, on February 15, 2013, the inhabitants of the southern Urals witnessed a cosmic catastrophe - the fall of an asteroid, which was the first such event in history that caused serious damage to people.

In the first moments, the inhabitants of the region spoke about the explosion of an "incomprehensible object" and strange flashes. Scientists have been studying this event for a whole year, what they managed to find out at this point - read in the RIA Novosti review.

What was it?

A rather ordinary space body fell in the Chelyabinsk region. Events of this magnitude occur once every 100 years, and according to some sources, even more often, up to five times a century. Scientists believe that bodies about ten meters in size (about half the size of the Chelyabinsk body) enter the Earth's atmosphere about once a year, but this happens most often over the oceans or over sparsely populated regions. Such bodies explode and burn on high altitude without causing any harm.

The size of the Chelyabinsk asteroid before the fall was about 19.8 meters, and the mass was from 7 thousand to 13 thousand tons. According to scientists, in total, from 4 to 6 tons fell to the ground, that is, about 0.05% of the original mass. Of this amount, no more than 1 ton has been collected at the moment, taking into account the largest fragment weighing 654 kilograms, lifted from the bottom of Lake Chebarkul.

Geochemical analysis showed that the Chelyabinsk space object belongs to the type of ordinary chondrites of the LL5 class. Chondrites are one of the most common types of stony meteorites, about 87% of all meteorites found are of this type. They are distinguished by the presence in the thickness of rounded millimeter-sized grains - chondrules, which consist of a partially melted substance.

Expert: the largest fragment of the Chelyabinsk meteorite weighs 654 kgThe exact weight of the largest fragment of the Chelyabinsk meteorite, which was taken from the bottom of Lake Chebarkul in mid-October 2013, was 654 kg, the director of the company that performed the operation to lift the meteorite told reporters.

Data from infrasound stations indicate that the power of the explosion that occurred at the time of the sharp deceleration of the Chelyabinsk asteroid at an altitude of about 90 kilometers ranged from 470 to 570 kilotons of TNT - this is 20-30 times more powerful nuclear explosion in Hiroshima, but more than ten times less than the power of the explosion at the moment Tunguska disaster(from 10 to 50 megatons).

What made this fall unique was the place and the time. This is the first case in history of a large meteorite falling in a densely populated area, so never before has a meteorite fall caused such serious damage - 1.6 thousand people turned to doctors, 112 were hospitalized, windows were broken in 7.3 thousand buildings.

Thanks to this, scientists have received a huge amount of data about the event - this is the best documented meteorite fall. As it turned out later, one of the video cameras even captured the moment the largest fragment fell into Lake Chebarkul.

Where did this come from?

Chelyabinsk asteroid in the past could have been very close to the SunScientists from the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy have found that some fragments of the fireball bear traces of melting and crystallization processes that took place long before this body fell to Earth.

Scientists answered this question almost immediately: from the main asteroid belt of the solar system, the region between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, where the trajectories of many small bodies pass. The orbits of some of them, in particular, the asteroids of the Apollo or Aten group, are elongated and can cross the earth's orbit.

Due to the fact that the flight of the Chelyabinsk fireball was recorded on many videos and photographs, including satellite ones, astronomers could quite accurately reconstruct its trajectory, and then try to continue this line back through the atmosphere in order to plot the orbit of this body.

Attempts to restore the trajectory of the Chelyabinsk body before the collision with the Earth were made by different groups of astronomers. Their calculations showed that the semi-major axis of the orbit of the Chelyabinsk asteroid was about 1.76 astronomical units (the average radius of the Earth's orbit), the perihelion (the point of the orbit closest to the Sun) was at a distance of 0.74 units, and the aphelion (the most distant point) was 2 .6 units.

With this data in hand, scientists tried to find the Chelyabinsk asteroid in the catalogs of previously discovered small bodies. It is known that many already discovered asteroids are “lost” again after some time, and some of them are discovered twice. Scientists did not rule out that the Chelyabinsk object belonged to such "lost" bodies.

Scientists have found a new "parent" of the Chelyabinsk asteroidEarlier, Spanish astronomers selected another potential candidate for the role of the Chelyabinsk fireball among the asteroids known to scientists - in their opinion, a fragment of the asteroid 2011 EO40 could fall in the Urals.

His relatives

Although an exact match could not be found, scientists have found several possible "relatives" of the "Chelyabinsk". The group of Jiri Borovichka from the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, having calculated the trajectory of the Chelyabinsk body, found that it is very similar to the orbit of the 2.2-kilometer asteroid 86039 (1999 NC43). In particular, the semi-major axis of the orbit of both bodies is 1.72 and 1.75 astronomical units, the perihelion distance is 0.738 and 0.74.

Scientists do not know why fragments of the Chelyabinsk meteorite are of different colorsThe meteorite, subsequently named Chelyabinsk, fell on February 15, 2013. Scientists still cannot figure out why some meteorite fragments are completely dark, while others are light inside.

Fragments of the Chelyabinsk cosmic body that fell to the ground "told" scientists the story of his life. It turned out that the Chelyabinsk asteroid is the same age as the solar system. An analysis of the isotope ratio of lead and uranium showed that its age is about 4.45 billion years.

However, approximately 290 million years ago, the Chelyabinsk asteroid survived major disaster— collision with another space body. This is evidenced by dark veins in its thickness - traces of melting of the substance during a powerful blow.

At the same time, scientists believe that it was a very "fast" process. Traces of cosmic particles - tracks of iron nuclei - did not have time to melt, which means that the "accident" itself lasted no more than a few minutes, experts from the Institute of Geochemistry and analytical chemistry named after Vernadsky RAS.

At the same time, it is possible that traces of melting could have occurred during a too close approach of the asteroid to the Sun, scientists from the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy (IGM) of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences believe.

What happened in Chelyabinsk?

On Friday, February 15, a rather rare event took place. In the morning, a certain object appeared in the sky at high altitude, which left behind a trail that was clearly visible even hundreds of kilometers from Chelyabinsk. Then this object exploded. A very bright flash was captured by hundreds of video cameras. After some time (different in different settlements), sound and shock waves reached the audience. The sound of the explosion was very strong. The shock wave was so strong that tens of kilometers from the explosion there were massive damage to residential and industrial buildings. Radiation remained within the normal range. Here's what the site said on Friday "News":

“In Chelyabinsk, 725 residents of the city who suffered as a result of a meteor shower applied for medical help, 159 of them were children. This was reported in the press service of the city administration. According to her, 31 people have been hospitalized at the moment, 12 of them are children. The Ministry of Health of Russia previously reported 571 victims in Chelyabinsk region and 34 hospitalized. The press service of the Chelyabinsk administration clarified that the injuries were received mainly from glass fragments after the windows were broken by a blast wave. Medical institutions of Chelyabinsk are working in an enhanced mode, traumatologists, resuscitators, surgeons are additionally called, ITAR-TASS notes. A meteor shower was recorded on Friday morning in five regions of Russia - over the territory of the Tyumen, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan regions and Bashkortostan. The places where the fragments of the meteorite fell were found in three districts of the Chelyabinsk region. Glass was shattered in almost 300 buildings…”

Other sources

Director of the Department of Planetology NASA Jim Green admitted that his department failed to predict the meteorite fall in the Chelyabinsk region. The representative of the American government explained that the capabilities of surveillance technologies have their limits - you can track as little as 15% from total number meteorites colliding with the Earth. In addition, Jim Green reported that a medium-sized meteorite flew over Russia about 15 meters in diameter. Space bodies of this size very rarely fall near places where many people live, according to NHK.

NTV.Ru recalls: on the eve of the meteorite caused a real panic in the Chelyabinsk region. The fireball at a speed of 64 thousand kilometers per hour entered the Earth's atmosphere and exploded at an altitude of 19-24 kilometers. We saw a terrible plume in the Sverdlovsk and Tyumen regions, as well as in Kazakhstan. The power of the explosion was 300 before 500 kilotons- This is 20 times more than from the nuclear bomb in Hiroshima. About 1,200 people were injured by the meteorite, and glass was broken in many houses. Fragments of the meteorite were searched in Lake Chebarkul, but they could not find anything. It is possible that the "space guest" burned to the ground.

Even philologists can't sleep

It turned out that even Comrade Latynina (philologist) vigilantly guards the interests of the Fatherland and immediately asks tricky questions to the Minister of Defense. These questions have already been removed from the newspaper's website, but Papa Muller kept them in the form of a screenshot. The wording and essence of the questions clearly show that Com. Latynina is really a philologist, and understands absolutely nothing about what she asks questions about. Moreover, by the nature of the questions, it becomes clear that the questions were, of course, not a philologist, but a person who had not gone far in terms of literacy and considerations. We will not answer these “questions”, everything is exhaustively explained there in the Comments ...

What eyewitnesses say

I'm from Chelyabinsk. At 9:20 somewhere in the office, a bright flash lit up the window. No one understood anything, they thought it was shorted somewhere. Minutes later (the speed of light is faster than the speed of sound) there was a roar, so that the ears were blocked. Stucco was falling from the ceiling. Everyone ran out into the street. There are no victims. Cellular communication was unavailable for 3 hours exactly. From sound wave the roof of one of the factories was destroyed. Now airplanes are flying in the sky, looking for a crash site.

First, let's bring astronomy back to school. And there will be answers to all questions. As an amateur astronomer, I will say that air defense is useless. It is impossible to keep track of the stones, several meters in diameter. That objects flying from the side of the Sun are invisible in the optical range, and no money is allocated for radiometry. And the fact that the sky tracking service is not funded by the state. According to the mechanics of the destruction of a meteorite, or rather a fireball, I can assure you: everything is within the normal range. Classic car. The object most likely split into 2 pieces at the time of the explosion. Plus keep in mind that average speed the passage of the object is about 20-30 km/sec. The Chelyabinsk car is similar to the Vitim car. Info on him if you're interested.

First, where is our air defense? Some kind of thing from the sky is hitting right across the city. Secondly, what are our astronomers doing, where did they look, or did this object appear right in our atmosphere in the morning? Thirdly, where are the warning systems, or the Ministry of Emergency Situations only stating the facts and sorting out the consequences? And then the fact itself is narrower, but was it a meteorite or a comet, as stated by the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Quote from RBC news: “... said astronomer, head of the department of non-stationary stars and stellar spectroscopy of the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Science Nikolai Chugai “I'm not sure if it's a meteor shower”...»

Explain to me what people do in this institute if they are not sure what it is and did not know anything about it at all?

Let's go further: a meteorite - two parallel stripes are clearly visible in the photo and video ... I'm not very good at physics, but as far as I know, in order to fly in parallel, objects must have the same size, the same density and the same weight, at least. If the object splits into two parts, then the trajectories still change. Then we see a flash, an increase in the smoke cloud and one line that begins to break ... And to top it off, a trail of white smoke ...

Can anyone answer all these questions for me?

Our version(Alexey Kungurov, Chelyabinsk)

The very moment of the meteorite's entry into the atmosphere at 9:20 was not seen. At that time, my wife and I were lucky enough to go into the new Magnit supermarket built in Chelyabinsk (which is located on Brothers Kashirin Street). And at the moment when we paid at the cash desk, there was a strong explosion in the street, then a series of small pops. The first impression was that a gas cylinder had exploded near the building. Two minutes later we were already on the street and began to question the workers finishing the outer facade of the building (on a manipulator with a basket).

According to the worker, what happened was very reminiscent of a comet, the radiance was so strong that start to burn your face(pay attention to this fact), and he hid behind the arm of the manipulator. A little later, explosions were heard. There was no other explanation for the first time. It took us 10 minutes to get home and the first thing we noticed was the lack of cell service. Communication interruptions continued for about 3 hours. Approximately the epicenter of the cloud in the sky fell on the southern part of Chelyabinsk in the area just south of the regional hospital.

At home, everyone woke up at us (even those who usually sleep until 10-11 o'clock), the children had a slight panic, as the house was shaking very sensitively, then they heard a strong explosion, but there is no explanation for this. Later we had to visit the kindergarten to pick up our niece. One glass cracked in it (the distance is about 10 km from the alleged epicenter of the explosion) and a lot of traveling around the city.

The paradox was as follows: the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the City Government promptly responded to the situation, recommended picking up children from schools and kindergartens, explained the nature of the incident and recommended everyone to stay at home. Employers fired people from work. But it all gave an unpredictable effect: a large number of cars on the streets has dramatically increased the number of accidents. There was general nervousness among the people.

On the local radio, they began to voice calls and SMS from people and comment on events. The information voiced by the radio station (if you do not move around the city and do not see the situation with your own eyes) was very reminiscent of a report from a theater of operations or a completely bombed city. I understand the condition of doctors and other people who could not leave their jobs and were forced to listen to the stream such information.

If you do not specifically look for places where the glass was knocked out, then nothing reminded of the recent incident. The only serious destruction in the city is the collapsed roof of the Zinc Plant (finished products workshop), broken display windows, individual windows in schools, YurSU (South Ural State University) and shops, broken frames and glass in houses. The paradox lies in the fact that, on the one hand, glass was broken at a distance of up to 30 kilometers, and at the same time there were entire blocks of houses where not a single glass was broken (even in the epicenter, more precisely, in the projection of the epicenter on the ground, because the explosion was high).

This is general situation in Chelyabinsk.

You can generally sum up the event (my version).

There are many versions of the incident and many explanations for what happened. For example, NASA determined the yield of the explosion to 500 kilotons, and the height of the explosion - from 18 to 24 km. The fact that scientists can be wrong, we will now see for you. In the NASA version, the size of the meteorite is determined in 17 meters, and the weight is in 10 thousand tons. Let's check this information: if we assume that it had a shape close to a ball with a diameter of 17 meters, then its volume will be about 2572 cubic meters; and if it consisted of iron, then it will weigh more 20,000 tons, and if from granite, then about 6680 tons! This, as you understand, is significantly different from what NASA scientists have stated.

Second mistake scientists - this is the definition of the height of the explosion - over 19 km. If you look various charts ratio of air pressure and altitude ( , , ), then at an altitude of 19-20 km the air pressure is only 41 mm Hg, which is almost 20 times less than normal atmospheric pressure, and there are no conditions for creating a shock wave, which could cause such consequences as we observed in Chelyabinsk and the region.

Therefore, we will begin here our little investigation based on known facts and video materials. Most of the material is taken from the site. Ilya Varlamov– http://zyalt.livejournal.com/722930.html

The passage of the meteorite was seen from Yekaterinburg, which is about 200 km from Chelyabinsk. And from this video you can roughly calculate the height of the passage of the meteorite. To do this, we will use the Bradis table and the rule of correspondence of angles and proportionality of triangles. The video shows that the meteorite began to glow at an apparent height above the truck (in the observation range in proportion to the size of the truck in front) about three truck sizes and later descended to a height of 2 trucks. The distance to the truck is about 100 meters. The height of the truck trailer is 2.45 m. Accordingly, the apparent height of the span is 5 meters (in the projection of the truck). If the height of the apparent span is divided by the distance, then you get 0.05 (almost 3 degrees of the apparent angle of flight above the Earth). If the obtained dimensions are multiplied by 200 km, then we get the approximate height of the completion of the meteorite flight of about 10 km(excluding calculation errors and surface curvature).

The second way to calculate the height of the explosion is to calculate, taking into account the testimony of eyewitnesses (approximately 40 seconds) and the calculated values \u200b\u200bof the speed of sound in air (340 meters per second), then it turns out to be approximately 14 km, which approximately fits into the previous calculations, taking into account the errors.

The flight of the Meteorite was visible and recorded from great distances: from Tyumen - 336 km, from Yekaterinburg200 km, from Kamensk-Uralsky142 km, from Orenburg575 km, Satka (mountainous part of the Chelyabinsk region) - 150 km, Kostanay (Kazakhstan) - 258 km.

We need to consider the meteorite itself and calculate the power of a real explosion.

Exist typical calculations( , , , ) damaging factors of a nuclear explosion. Why do we resort to them? For one reason - we do not have non-nuclear explosives to produce an explosion of commensurate power (500 kilotons).

The main factor influencing the calculations is that we have an explosion height of about 10-15 km. As a result, a large shock wave could not form (the pressure did not exceed 0.1 bar), that is, according to the generally accepted classification, Chelyabinsk was not even destroyed by the Zone of Weak Destruction. And the power of the explosion must be increased at times.

It is possible to indirectly estimate the strength of the explosion from information received from the builder (direct witness). He claimed that he was badly baked by the radiation. It can be assumed that if the radiation lasted a few more seconds and (or) the worker did not hide, then he would receive a burn of 1 degree, which corresponds to the power of the explosion at least 1 megaton on distance 24 km.

Preliminary conclusions

We are fully aware that the information available to us cannot claim to be complete and reliable. Nevertheless, even from it one can draw quite reasonable and reasonable conclusions: over Chelyabinsk alien was destroyed spaceship . That is why the blast wave was so weak, and that is why very large forces of the army, police and FSB were thrown in search of any remains of this ship.

To the question of how and by whom this ship was destroyed, the official bodies and the media, most likely, will not be able to answer. After all, our civilization is still at an embryonic level both in the field of technology and in the field of the use of real knowledge. Therefore, we will not be able to detect and deal with such objects for a long time. However, happened fact indicates that there are ways to influence such unusual objects for us. We simply do not yet imagine the true possibilities of the human Mind, and therefore we naively believe that such a thing is impossible.

But back in 2009, an event occurred that was almost equal in “impossibility” to the incident in Chelyabinsk. Then a huge Black Pyramid(black not in terms of the color of the pyramid itself, but in terms of belonging to the black hierarchy of its passengers). This pyramid was destroyed and it was destroyed by one person - Nikolai Levashov (he spoke about this at his seminar held in Moscow in March 2010. See the answer to question N7 of the third day of the Seminar).

Later academic Nikolai Levashov installed an energy dome over Russia, which also performs the functions of protecting the planet from uninvited guests.

Thus, we consider this issue already clarified enough, because those in power will never tell us the truth anyway. And the fabrications of various journalists and philologists will be mainly of a political nature, and will have nothing to do with the truth.

At 9:20 am local time (7:20 Moscow time and 5:20 Kiev time) in the Chelyabinsk region, a meteoroid exploded at an altitude of 15-25 km.

The celestial body was not discovered prior to its entry into the atmosphere.

When a meteoroid with a speed of 20-30 km / s. entered the Earth's atmosphere, it caused a huge explosion, which NASA scientists estimate at about 500 kilotons of TNT.

As a result of the explosion, the meteor body turned into a luminous fireball and caused a strong shock wave. The first explosion was followed by two more explosions, as a result there were three explosions of different power (the first explosion was the most powerful).

The explosions were accompanied by a bright dazzling white flash, which is characteristic of a lightning explosion and lasted about five seconds.

The blast wave, which reached the Earth's surface with a delay of about a minute, caused major damage.

Estimated explosion temperature - more than 2500 degrees.

The duration of the flight of a meteoroid from the moment it enters the atmosphere to the moment it explodes is 32.5 seconds.

Judging by the duration of the atmospheric flight, the meteorite body entered under very acute angle. But after the first explosion, the meteorite changed its flight path and began to move at an angle of 20 degrees, that is, almost parallel to the Earth's surface.

The meteor body flew from the southeast to the northwest, the flight trajectory was in azimuth about 290 degrees along the Yemanzhelinsk - Miass line.

After three explosions, most of the meteorite fragments evaporated, and only a few of them reached the Earth.

The condensation trail from the car in Chelyabinsk stretched for 480 km.

NASA released updated data on the meteoroid based on an analysis of data from infrasound tracking stations: before entering the Earth's atmosphere, the object was about 17 meters in diameter, weighing up to 10,000 tons and moving at a speed of 18 km / s.

At the time of the explosion of the body (February 15 at 3 hours 20 minutes 26 seconds GMT), American seismologists recorded a shock of magnitude 4 points about a kilometer southwest of the center of Chelyabinsk. Also, this event was recorded by 17 out of 45 infrasound tracking stations.

On February 16, the US Geological Survey reported that it estimates this event as an earthquake of 2.7 points. For comparison, the previous similar phenomenon - the fall of the Tunguska meteorite is estimated at 5.0 points.

The first movement of the meteor body across the sky at 9:15 (7:15 Moscow time) was seen by residents of the Kustanai and Aktobe regions of Kazakhstan. Residents of Orenburg - at 9:21 local time. Also, his trail was observed in the Sverdlovsk, Kurgan, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk regions and Bashkortostan. The farthest point with video recording of the meteoroid flight is the area of the village of Prosvet in the Volzhsky district of the Samara region - the distance to Chelyabinsk is 750 km.

The military and scientists began searching for the fallen fragments of the meteoroid, into which it disintegrated after three explosions.

Fishermen near Lake Chebarkul and, in particular, local resident Valery Morozov, observed the moment the meteorite fell. According to them, about 7 fragments of the meteorite flew by, and one of them fell into the lake, throwing up a column of water and ice at least 3-4 meters high.

In the Etkul region, according to eyewitnesses, there was a meteor shower. Some even said that he pounded on the roofs of their houses.

On February 17, members of the Uralsky meteorite expedition federal university Fragments of a meteorite were found near Lake Chebarkul. As a result of chemical analyzes, the extraterrestrial nature of small stones found on the surface of Lake Chebarkul was confirmed. And it was proved that this is an ordinary chondrite, which contains: metallic iron, olivine and sulfites; melting crust is also present.

On February 19, the second expedition of scientists took place, this time through settlements south of the city of Chelyabinsk. It was possible to find larger fragments with a total weight of up to 1 kg, the structure of which corresponds to the samples collected on the ice of Lake Chebarkul. They will allow more qualitative research.

NASA estimates that this is the largest known celestial body to have fallen to Earth since the Tunguska meteorite impact in 1908, and occurs on average once every 100 years.

Due to the gentle trajectory of the body's entry, only a relatively small part of the energy of the explosions reached populated areas.

Because of the shock wave, 1586 people were injured, most from broken windows. According to various sources, from 40 to 112 people were hospitalized; two victims were placed in intensive care.

The shock wave damaged buildings. Material damage was tentatively estimated at 400 million to 1 billion rubles.

An emergency regime was introduced in the Krasnoarmeysky, Korkinsky and Uvelsky districts of the Chelyabinsk region.

The fall of the Chelyabinsk meteorite caused a huge resonance all over the world. First of all, because of the power of the explosion, which gave rise to the oscillation of the Earth's surface.

Second, due to the fall of the meteoroid in dense populated area, in the vicinity of a large Russian city Chelyabinsk. Therefore, direct eyewitnesses were able to film it on video.

When eyewitnesses of the fall of the Chelyabinsk meteorite posted their pictures on the Internet, millions of people around the world could get acquainted with them. And for this we thank them very much!

This event began to be discussed on the Internet, while putting forward various versions of the nature of this anomalous phenomenon.

1 version - Meteor shower

Initially, many scientists and astronomers put forward this version, according to which one of the meteorites fell over Chelyabinsk, belonging to the Delta Leonids meteor shower, which has been activated annually since February 5th.

Therefore, at first, the wrong direction of the fall of the Chelyabinsk meteorite was indicated - from the northeast to the southwest.

As it turned out, the Chelyabinsk meteorite flew from the southeast to the northwest. In addition, the annual meteor showers are well studied, so when the power of the explosion became known, it became obvious that the Chelyabinsk meteorite did not belong to this shower.

As a result, this version was not confirmed.

Version 2 - Fragment of the asteroid "2012 DA14"

This was the first official version put forward by the head of the department of celestial mechanics and astrometry of Tomsk state university Professor Tatyana Bordovitsina. She told the media that the meteor shower that took place in the Urals was a harbinger of an asteroid that was supposed to fly up at a close distance from the Earth by the evening of the same day, on Friday.

The expected asteroid "2012 DA14" flew near our planet just 14 hours later than the fall of the Chelyabinsk meteorite.

The mass of 2012DA14, discovered a year ago by Spanish astronomers, is 130 thousand tons, and the speed of movement is 28.1 thousand km per hour or 7.82 km per second. And this is at least two times less than the speed of the Chelyabinsk meteorite.

In addition, the asteroid did not fly parallel to the Chelyabinsk meteorite, which cannot be the case for bodies of the same stream, and at the time of its fall it was on the far side of the Earth.

In this case, the Chelyabinsk meteorite flew towards the asteroid or to the intersection of the flight path.

In addition, if some piece flew off the asteroid, then it should be found in the places of impact. And why did this piece of asteroid cause such a powerful explosion?

As in the previous version, even if it was an asteroid fragment, this absolutely does not explain why the "body" of the meteorite and the cause of the powerful blast wave were not found.

3rd version - a message from the Planet Nibiru

Adherents of Sitchin's idea about the approach of Planet X or Nibiru to the Earth claim that our planet was hooked by the Nibiru meteorite belt. They claim that over Chelyabinsk, earthlings received an official cosmic message from the planet Nibiru.

The message from outer space came from the direction of the Sun, from where Planet X, aka Nibiru, is rushing towards the Earth. And the Chelyabinsk meteorite is not the last and not the largest of those that await the Earth in the near future.

Other messages from the planet Nibiru should be expected already this year 2013. Recall that adherents of Sitchin claim that the mysterious planet Nibiru arrived inside the solar system in 2003.

I already wrote about Nibiru in an article. I want to add that if this planet existed, it would have to fit into the solar system and follow its laws.

It is impossible to simply enter an ordered system, since in solar system everything is already in place and moving along the appropriate trajectory. There is no free space and there is no free treadmill either.

Therefore, adherents of Sitchin's ideas cannot in any way come up with something that cannot be.

Version 4 - The Chelyabinsk meteorite is a missile of the Ministry of Defense

This version was put forward by the well-known journalist Yulia Latynina, who in her note “What was the side number of the meteorite?” asked a number of questions:

Why did the flight path of the fireball coincide with the flight path from the Elan garrison in the Sverdlovsk region to the Chebarkul training ground;
- why did it fly along a trajectory more like a rocket trajectory than a meteorite trajectory;
- why the meteorite left behind a tail similar to the tail from rocket fuel;
- why the explosion of a meteorite was similar to the self-destruction of a rocket;
- why such a large number of military personnel are involved in the search for meteorite fragments.

Latynina at the beginning of the text immediately made a reservation that she was not a rocket scientist, but a philologist, but demanded that the Ministry of Defense answer these questions.

The Ministry of Defense replied that the exercises in the Chelyabinsk region were not related to the fall of the meteorite on February 15, 2013.

However, in search celestial body a total of 20 thousand military and police personnel were thrown, about 40 aircraft and about 1 thousand pieces of equipment. The military units of the Central Military District were brought to a state of high combat readiness, however, the Ministry of Defense announced mass unscheduled exercises - the first sudden check of combat readiness in 20 years. The training is carried out by decision of Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

When experts joined the discussion of this topic and provided data on rocket speeds, the absurdity of this version became obvious.

For comparison, here are some numbers. The speed of the "meteorite" was about 20-30 km / s. or under 80,000 km/h.

Supersonic aircraft are capable of speeds from 2,500 km/h to 3,500 km/h. Ultra-high-speed devices capable of accelerating up to 6000 - 8000 km / h are being tested.

When entering orbit, the speed is up to 29,000 km / h (this is already taking into account airless space).

From the listed data it is clear that not a single aircraft, not a single rocket, can develop even half the speed of the Chelyabinsk meteorite.

The failure of this version proves the failure of other similar versions. For example, that a meteorite was shot down by Russian air defense / missile defense. But knock down an object moving on space speeds is simply an impossible task. It would be simple - long ago everyone would have had the ability to shoot down AP ICBMs, and here is a space object that has a speed that is a multiple of that of a warhead. And it's not about the trajectory itself.

Here is the same unprepared journalist who will then write a devastating article stating that Russian air defense / missile defense systems cannot shoot down space objects, presenting the task as something easily implemented. And thousands of people without proper education will spread this lie, not paying attention to the fact that Russia has the best air defense / missile defense in the world.

Version 5 - Natural disaster

The fact that the Chelyabinsk disaster occurred as a result of a natural phenomenon, almost no one doubts. Moreover, a similar phenomenon in the same area has already occurred.

So, on July 11, 1949, on the territory of the Kunashaksky district of the Chelyabinsk region at 8 hours and 14 minutes, a fiery white ball with a reddish-fiery tail flew in the sky from north to south.

The car left a trace in the form of a white stripe. Sparks and flames flew from the head of the car towards the tail. The flight of the car was accompanied by a hiss.

The bolide was observed over a vast territory about 700 km across for 8-10 seconds.

At an altitude of 27 km, the car split into three luminous parts with many sparks. At an altitude of 17 km, the glow stopped, and its fragments began to fall freely to the ground. The meteor shower dissipated over an area of 194 sq. km.

A bolide is a fireball with a shining tail that looks like a tailed sun.

The Kunashak fireball was visible at a distance of up to 700 kilometers in the Chelyabinsk, Kurgan regions and Bashkiria.

The bolide was named after the village of Kunashak (55 ° 47 "north latitude and 61 ° 22" east longitude) - the regional center of the Chelyabinsk region, near which it was found.

One of the fragments of the car fell into Lake Chebakul, a 20-meter water column rose from the water.

Scientists from Moscow, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk arrived at the crash site. They interviewed 126 eyewitnesses from 75 settlements, and thus, the very fact of the fall of the car was beyond doubt. And soon the inhabitants began to find fragments of a celestial body.

Lake Chebakul, where the Kunashak meteorite fell, is located 50 km north of Chelyabinsk. Sometimes this lake is confused with Lake Chebarkul, which is located 75 km. southwest of the center of Chelyabinsk and where one of the fragments of the 2013 Chelyabinsk meteorite fell.

Similar phenomena were observed during the fall of the Tunguska and Vitim fireballs.

To prove that the Chelyabinsk meteorite was not a meteorite, but was most likely a fireball, I will give the data on the fall of the Sikhote-Alin meteorite.

The meteorite fell at 10 hours 38 minutes on February 12, 1947 near the village of Beitsukhe (46 ° 10 "north latitude and 134 ° 39" east longitude) of Primorsky Krai in the Ussuri taiga in the Sikhote-Alin mountains on Far East.

During the flight in the atmosphere, the meteorite was crushed several times. A meteorite appeared at an altitude of 110 km; the first crushing - 58 km, the second - 34 km, the third - 16 km and the fourth - 6 km.

It fell like iron rain over an area of 35 square kilometers. The largest individual copy weighs 1745 kg, the largest fragment is about 50 kg.

In a sense, the Sikhote-Alin meteorite is the antipode of the Tunguska meteorite. Here are some features that distinguish them:

1. The flight time of the fireball is 5 seconds in the case of Sikhote-Alin and a few minutes for Tunguska.

2. The scale of the fireball - the apparent trajectory of the Sikhote-Alinsky - 140 km, Tunguska - 700 km.

3. An explosion in the air at Tunguska and an impact on the ground at Sikhote-Alin (academician V.G. Fesenkov associates this with the speed of the flight of a cosmic body, which is hardly consistent with known facts).

4. The nature of ground destruction is completely different. On Tunguska there is a huge fall and burn of trees. On Sikhote-Alin there are craters with radial fallouts of 20-30 meters and a complete absence of burns.

5. Lack of seismic and even more so magnetic disturbances in Sikhote-Alin.

6. Absence of the substance of a cosmic body on Tunguska.

7. Huge (global) range of atmospheric anomalies in Tunguska and very limited and short-lived in Sikhote-Alin.

8. In general, a different scale of phenomena. On Sikhote-Alin - the largest meteorite of the world and a local manifestation of phenomena accompanying the fall. On Tunguska - the absence of a meteorite and powerful accompanying phenomena.

In the Chelyabinsk disaster, all characteristics associated with the fall of the car.

1. The duration of the flight in a few minutes, not seconds.

2. Large scale of the visible trajectory.

3. The explosion of the fireball in the air, with repeated - three explosions.

4. Large-scale nature of destruction, with the release of heat.

5. The presence of an earthquake.

6. Very small amount of material deposited compared to the large scale of the disaster.

7. Atmospheric anomaly touched the entire globe.

Thus, we can conclude that the cause of the Chelyabinsk disaster was such a natural phenomenon like a falling car.

But the version expressed by Vladimir Zhirinovsky that this is the result of the use of climate weapons by the United States should not be discarded either.

Version 6 - Climate weapon

If we take into account the existence of climate weapons, then their impact is as follows.

“Powerful ground-based radiating HARP antennas synchronously transmit a microwave signal of microwave radiation to orbiting satellites located on geostationary orbit our planet.

When such satellites send radiation, they simultaneously also re-radiate these radiations among themselves. Thus, there is a superposition of many radiations from many satellites at once, which forms a standing wave in the right place and in the right volume.

This wave is pumped to such an extent that it leads to the moment when ionization occurs upper layers atmosphere, where ozone is located, and where satellites rotate.

In this place, the protective layer disappears, and ions appear that no longer protect the earth's surface, and through this place a powerful stream of cosmic radiation and hard solar radiation begins to fall on the Earth. Naturally, where such a “window” has opened, everything and everything will be burned on the ground.

There was no obvious manifestation of climate weapons in the fall of the Chelyabinsk meteorite, but it was, most likely, indirect.

First of all, the place of the fall of the Chelyabinsk meteorite attracts attention - this is the center No. 3 of the polar face between nodes No. 2 and No. 4 of the energy information system icosahedral-dodecahedral structure of the Earth (IDSS).

Node #2 is located at approximately 52° north latitude and 30° east longitude.

Node #3 is located approximately at 52°N and 102°=30°+72°E.

The center between these two nodes is at 52° north latitude and 66° east longitude.

The Chelyabinsk meteorite began flying in a radius of approximately 54°508" north latitude and 64°266" east longitude. At the time of the explosion, the coordinates were 54°922" north latitude and 60°606" east longitude.

The appearance of a meteorite in the center of the IDSZ face suggests that this is due to the occurrence of a strong tension in the energy-informational field of the Earth, which is associated with the dislocation of negative or negative information.

And if this is connected with information, then it is natural to assume that the torsion field of the Earth and people (psy fields) took part in this phenomenon.

Soviet physicist L.L. Vasiliev and further research by scientists proved that the electromagnetic waves accompanying psi waves are of a different nature than psi waves, and that electromagnetic waves do not participate in psi phenomena, although they can affect the human brain.

Psi waves carry information along with energy, their quality depends on the spiritual state of the transferred information.

The Earth creates its own psi field, people inhabiting a particular territory create their own psi field. The field of all mankind is heterogeneous, therefore, each nation, country has its own psi field. Somewhere it is stronger, somewhere weaker.

If the psi field is connected with the consciousness and life of a person, then its antipode is the field of death.

When an information system loses its spiritual principles, the spin rotation “fades out” in it, magnetic moment nuclei and electrons. This leads to the destruction of the information system, since there are no conditions for the accumulation and storage of information in it.

Such information systems, losing their wave nature, turn into a unitron converging field of non-wave nature, dark matter.

In the unitron field elementary particles cannot build an atomic system. Therefore, it contains no information about life and no light, but only the energy left after the death of the atomic system, and darkness.

And this energy contains only the memory of the death of matter, with the help of which it informs the environment about this, which makes it similar to death. In fact, the unitron convergent field is death itself.

Such defects of the information system are able to move and accumulate (after all, a converging field means an accumulating field - it collects such energy).

This causes tension in the energy frame of the Earth and the spatial lattice of the energy-information single crystal of the Earth is distorted.

Let's assume that the climate weapon warmed up the upper layers of the atmosphere and destroyed the structure of the atmosphere. This allowed several unitron fields to unite, which immediately created tension and distorted the spatial lattice of the energy-information single crystal of the Earth.

The main property of a unitron field is that the lower its energy intensity, the greater its volume. And the greater its energy intensity, the smaller its volume.

This means that by increasing the energy intensity, the unitron field has greatly decreased in volume, which increased its maneuverability and allowed it to break from the edge of the Earth's energy-information frame. It raced in search of similar fields to further increase its power.

But the Earth reacted instantly. Ball lightning engulfed the unitron field and began to lead it in the direction necessary for destruction. In some pictures, a dark spot is visible in the center of the fireball, which is a waveless unitron field and, in fact, dark matter.

Why fireball? According to Kapitsa's hypothesis, ball lightning occurs when a standing electromagnetic wave arises between clouds and the earth (and it can be created by a climate weapon), along which it moves and is fed with energy.

There are other hypotheses for the occurrence of ball lightning, which also in some way supplement the phenomenon of the fireball falling in Chelyabinsk.

The first explosion occurred at the moment when ball lightning together with the unitron field touched the human psi field in the given territory. As a result, there was an annihilation of matter (carrying information about life) and antimatter (which has no information).

To understand what happened, let's take scientific data as an example. In the interaction of 1 kg of antimatter and 1 kg of matter, great amount energy equal to the explosion of 42.96 megatons of trinitrotoluene.

From these data it is possible to calculate how much antimatter was involved in three explosions near Chelyabinsk. But this amount of matter and antimatter is not measured by the number of meteorite fragments that fell, which fell very little compared to the force of the explosion.

After the first explosion, the Chelyabinsk fireball stopped descending and began to fly parallel to the ground at a certain height until the final destruction.

This means that the standing wave did not penetrate into the lower layer of the atmosphere and did not touch the ground.

The flight altitude of the Chelyabinsk fireball indicated the height of the human psi field of the area. And both of these factors indicate that in this area people have created a strong and large psi field that is able to withstand one of the varieties of psi weapons - climate weapons.

Therefore, during the fall of the Chelyabinsk fireball, it did not appear negative impact on the health of people and animals, except for the impact of the shock wave, which caused an acute mental reaction and various injuries resulting from the destruction of buildings.

In conclusion, I would like to congratulate all Russians on such high indicators of the state of the psi field over their territory and wish them to continue to improve their spirituality.

Chelyabinsk - Big City Russian Federation, scientific, industrial and Cultural Center Ural. This is a city of working people, famous for its industrial power and industrial records. But on February 15, 2013, the city became famous all over the world after a meteorite fell in Chelyabinsk.

What really happened?

At about 9:30 local time, residents of not only Chelyabinsk, but also remote areas observed in the sky the rapid flight of a brightly glowing unidentified object, behind which stretched a powerful jet trail. Then a shock wave swept, bringing a lot of destruction, from which more than 1,500 residents of the city suffered.

A state of emergency has been declared in the city, the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, soldiers, and police have been sent to the alleged site of the fall of an unknown body. Scientists and curious people also moved there. Each channel of the Russian media sent its reporters to the scene, everyone wanted to get pictures and fragments of a celestial body.

This event shocked not only local residents. NASA was worried, astronomers from the Czech Republic, Sweden, France, Great Britain, Canada, and America became interested in the Event. A whole year has passed, but the truth about the Chelyabinsk meteorite continues to disturb both the population and scientific minds.

Restoring the chronicle of events

The winter morning began as usual. People went to work, having identified children in schools and kindergartens, students went to study.

In the sky at 09:23, residents of Chelyabinsk noticed a strange flash and unusual stripes, like from a jet plane. After a couple of minutes, each person felt the trembling of the soil, the whole of Chelyabinsk shuddered. The explosion of the meteorite caused a shock wave that swept over a radius of several kilometers. Trees toppled, windows shattered in buildings, car alarms went off, and a wall near a zinc plant was blown off.

Guess and truth

Versions of the phenomenon were different, sometimes fantastic. Someone decided that these were enemy missiles, some suggested the fall of the plane, there were those who believed in an attack on the planet by aliens.

In fact, a large meteorite fell to the ground near the city of Chelyabinsk, the second largest after Tunguska meteorite, which fell in Eastern Siberia in June 1908.

February 2013 - "space guest" entered the planet's atmosphere at an acute angle of about 20°. According to experts, at an altitude of about 20-25 km, the meteorite broke into pieces. The debris hit the ground with great speed.

Physical characteristics of the "guest from space"

According to experts, including NASA specialists, the Chelyabinsk meteorite weighed 10 tons and had a diameter of at least 17 m, entered the Earth's atmosphere at a speed of 18 km/h.

The flight of the meteorite after entering our atmosphere lasted no more than 40 seconds. The explosion began at an altitude of 20 kilometers. From the explosion with a capacity of about 470 kilotons (this is 30 times more than during the explosion of the bomb in Hiroshima), numerous fragments and pieces were formed, which rapidly crashed into the Chelyabinsk lands. The bright light from the fall was visible over long distances. He was observed in Kurgan, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen regions, in Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan. The farthest point where traces of a meteorite flight were visible - Samara Region located 750 km from Chelyabinsk.

Consequences of a meteorite fall

When a meteorite fell in Chelyabinsk, it caused a series of shock waves. Many trees were felled in the city, about 3,000 buildings and structures were damaged. In many houses, windows were shattered by the shock wave, communication was lost for a while. The strongest blow fell on the Satka region. A zinc plant was partially destroyed there.

Many people asked where the meteorite fell in Chelyabinsk and how dangerous it is. An emergency situation was declared in the city, all units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were sent to the scene. A conversation was held with the population, panic was suppressed, and they tried to keep the situation under control.

In addition to Chelyabinsk, the following districts of the region suffered: Korkino, Yemanzhelinsk, Yuzhnouralsk, Kopeysk and the village of Etkul.

According to scientists, if the meteorite had exploded 5-6 km below, the consequences would have been much more sad.

Place of fall

Each one is of great interest. scientific point vision. To study the nature of the origin of the meteorite, its chemical composition, it was necessary to find as many fragments and pieces of a celestial body as possible. For this, it was important to establish the exact place where the meteorite fell in Chelyabinsk.

Two main parts were quickly found in the Chebarkul region. The third main fragment was found in the Zlatoust region. But the fourth had to be looked for. It was believed that he fell in the area of \u200b\u200bLake Chebarkul. The locals, who were fishing on the lake in the morning, confirmed that there was a space stone and fell into the lake itself. Eyewitnesses said that the impact caused a huge wave. The water rose by 3-4 meters.

Name choice

After the fall of the meteorite, 2 variants of its name were proposed - Chebarkulsky or Chelyabinsk. In favor of the first name, arguments were made that the main fragment fell into Lake Chebarkul near locality Chebarkul. However, supporters of the name "Chelyabinsk" said that the meteorite brought the greatest destruction to the regional center. As a revenge, it should be named Chelyabinsk.

Academician E. Galimov, head of the Vernadsky Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry, announced that the meteorite would be included in the International Catalog under the name "Chelyabinsk".

Collecting Meteorite Parts

Hundreds of small fragments were found at the impact sites. Special expeditions were sent out to search. Only close to collected three kilograms of meteorite stones. The search continued for more than six months. In August, news was received that a local resident had found a fragment weighing 3.5 kg near the village of Timiryazevsky.

But the biggest interest was the huge piece that fell into the lake. Its weight, according to preliminary estimates, was 300-400 kg, it went deep into the bottom silt. Local authorities allocated 3 million rubles for its raising.

A huge piece in August 2013 was removed from the bottom of the lake. His weight was 600 kg. After examination by scientists and a verdict on radioactive and chemical safety, the fragment of the meteorite was transferred to the local museum of local lore.

Mineral composition

After a while, the researchers explained which meteorite fell in Chelyabinsk. The space object is an ordinary chondrite. Olivine, iron, sulfites, magnetic pyrites and other complex minerals were found in its composition. The Chelyabinsk meteorite contains traces of titanic iron ore and inclusions of native copper, which is unusual for chondrites. The cracks in the body are filled with a vitreous substance with an admixture of silicates. The thickness of the melting crust is 1 mm.

Scientists have established that the age of the parent body, from which a piece broke off, which later became the Chelyabinsk meteorite, is at least 4 billion (!) Years. "Our" piece before falling to Earth for some time wandered into open space colliding with other cosmic bodies...

Scary? Anxious...

Scientists around the world to this day diligently study the presented material. Many knowledgeable experts have suggested that this is not just a meteorite, but a harbinger of an asteroid. Some even believed that a large asteroid would soon arrive on Earth, and then the destruction would be catastrophic. But Anatoly Zaitsev, director of the Center for Planetary Protection of the Earth from Asteroids, explained that this was just a theory. And he assured that nothing threatens the population of the planet, and the celestial bodies flying by are closely watched.

Life after the meteorite fall

The meteorite that fell in Chelyabinsk attracted the attention of the masses, caused a lot of controversy and conjecture. Conversations and rumors around the event do not subside to this day. The city near Chebarkul Lake became known to the whole world. Scientists went here: geochemists, physicists, astronomers. Everyone wanted to see with their own eyes a messenger from space.

The fall of the meteorite in Chelyabinsk has become profitable in terms of tourism. The owner of a large travel agency says that shortly after the event, calls began to arrive from America and Japan. Someone wanted an individual tour, many wanted to organize a group trip to the site of the fall of the famous meteorite.

Demand gives rise to an invitation, which is why all the guidebooks have added to the significant places of the Chelyabinsk region and a zone called "Chebarkul meteorite". The price for a hike to the now historic lake varies from 5,000 to 20,000 rubles.

There is no silver lining: at the official level

Chelyabinsk authorities decided to go down in history with the help of the event of February 15, 2013 Olympic Games. They created several precious metal medals with meteorite inserts. Such an award will be received by each athlete who takes a prize-winning place in competitions held on February 15th. Everything that remains unused from the fragments found will be distributed to Russian museums and private collections.

Some especially large exhibits were collected and the corresponding documentation was prepared. With this material, a tour of the museums of the Russian Federation will be made. Every inhabitant of the country should see a piece of a meteorite. In Moscow, the demonstration took place on January 17, 2014. Many materials will replenish the collection of the famous Moscow planetarium. Several thematic stands and posters were developed for this event.

Birth of brands

While the rescuers were clearing up the consequences of the catastrophe caused by the meteorite that fell in Chelyabinsk, many entrepreneurs did not waste time and actively used the fall of the celestial body for commercial purposes. Andrey Orlov, the mayor of the Chebarkul city district, distinguished himself with an excellent reaction in this area. Here with his light hand A competition for the most interesting brand name was organized. The winner was promised a piece of a meteorite as a prize. Under interesting names, such as "Chebarkul meteor", "Ural meteorite", "Chelyabinsk - the capital in Chelyabinsk" and "Che!", began to produce confectionery and alcoholic beverages.

Strike while the iron is hot

Various companies began to produce clothes with the appropriate print, mugs, plates and even puzzles. First, among the locals, and then among the inhabitants of all Russia, T-shirts with a comic inscription became popular: "Nothing invigorates so much as a meteorite in the morning!" It is worth noting a very original idea of the Chelyabinsk perfume company. She decided to create an unusual perfume called the Chebarkul meteorite. Perfumers say that the fragrance of this "cosmic object" will include stone and metal components.

Ordinary residents of the Urals also showed entrepreneurial spirit. The meteorite in Chelyabinsk did its job. Photos of him scattered with great speed on the Internet. Thousands of requests per minute testified to how many people there are who want to see the crash site and the celestial object itself. One resourceful resident of the Ural town sold a microwave oven on the Internet market, which burned out under the influence of a shock wave. An unknown American bought such a strange thing, but for this purchase he asked to send a couple of local newspapers with news about the meteorite fall in Chelyabinsk. Some exhibited shards of glass that exploded from the explosion when they fell. And all these things were snapped up by strange collectors. Pieces of the meteorite itself were especially prized. The most low price for a fragment it started from 10,000 rubles, the highest was 10,000,000 rubles. The police encountered real scammers who passed off ordinary stones as a celestial object.

"Healing" properties of the meteorite

Hundreds of residents came to Chebarkul Lake and dreamed of finding not only an expensive stone, but also a “healing” one. Charlatans - magicians and sorcerers - with the help of such fragments removed damage and treated for the most terrible diseases, cast out evil spirits. Entire legends and myths were invented about the influence of the "cosmic guest" on a person, depending on the sign of the zodiac. And how many amulets with a piece of this body have already spread all over the world! The meteorite was credited with simply magical properties, although in reality it does not have any healing power.

Interesting facts about the fall of the Chelyabinsk meteorite

A meteorite fell in Chelyabinsk, which made a lot of noise all over the world. Scientists managed to once again study the cosmic body, and someone just made good money on this event. It is worth noting some interesting points and facts about the Chelyabinsk meteorite:

  • The largest piece of the meteorite fell to the bottom of Lake Chebarkul.
  • The Russian Emergencies Ministry claimed to have informed residents of the upcoming event via SMS, but this turned out to be a lie.
  • Many TV channels showed not a meteorite crater, but a gas crater in Turkmenistan.
  • Many residents of Chelyabinsk deliberately broke their windows, simulating the effects of a blast wave. They wanted to receive new plastic windows from the state as material assistance to the victims.
  • The diameter of the funnel from the fall of the meteorite was 6 meters.
  • 470 kilotons of energy were released during the explosion of a celestial body.
  • Scientists have calculated that a meteorite of this magnitude falls to Earth once every hundred years.
  • It is believed that the meteorite went unnoticed due to the fact that it was flying from the side of the sun. That is why the telescopes did not record the approaching celestial body.
