Reducing the negative impact on the environment. Gazprom celebrates the year of ecology Reducing greenhouse gas emissions

Voluntary obligations

The Year of Ecology has started in the largest energy company in the region Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol LLC scientific and practical conference"Environmental Protection and Ecological Safety in the North Caucasian and Southern Federal Districts".

It was attended by representatives of gas structures, state and public institutions, scientific circles. Scientists and specialists exchanged ideas and developments in the field environmental safety.

“The scale of gas transmission production raises the bar of responsibility for the state of the environment throughout the entire territory of the company's operations,” Alexei Zavgorodnev, General Director of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol, Ph.D. in Geology and Mineralogy, addressed the conference attendees. - Environmental policy is becoming a social mission for us, which is carried by the enterprise. Therefore, one of the priorities for us is to minimize the impact of production on environment».

Environmental projects are the purposeful work of Gazprom, which includes OOO Gazprom transgaz Stavropol. In 1995, the world's largest gas company was among the first in Russia to adopt an "Environmental Protection Policy". And in 2000, she took on additional obligations. Today, in many respects, the Company's Environmental Strategy imposes more stringent requirements than the nationwide ones.

Awards - to the winners

The transfer of flags with the call "Let's save nature" to the heads of all 18 branches of the company became symbolic. This is a sign of responsibility for the future of the planet. As Aleksey Zavgorodnev noted, along with these flags, everyone also assumed responsibility for environmental safety in the area of the enterprise's activities.

“These issues at Gazprom transgaz Stavropol have always been and are in the first place,” said Roman Sarkisov, head of the Rosprirodnadzor department for the North Caucasus federal district. “In this regard, we can evaluate the activity of the enterprise only from the positive side.”

Ecological well-being as the basis of life and health of generations is the main criterion of environmental policy. By ensuring production growth and dynamic development, the company reduces the negative impact on the environment every year. In particular, in 2016, the emission of 12 thousand tons of methane into the atmosphere was prevented here. Nitrogen oxide emissions are lower basic level. The volume of production and consumption waste is 15% below the established level.

“For 20 years, Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol has been one of the most active participants in the fund,” said Andrey Cheshev, Deputy Executive Director of the Vernadsky Non-Governmental Environmental Foundation. - In 2016, the enterprise won the international environmental competition “Environmental Culture. Peace and harmony". Another well-deserved award is the Vernadsky National Ecological Prize.”

At the conference, the company's specialists presented their own energy-efficient developments and shared their experience in using energy-saving equipment. The event ended with the awarding of the winners of the Best Ecologist of 2016 competition at Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol.

In 2017, which is declared the Year of Ecology, Gazpromneft-Orenburg plans to invest more than 6 billion rubles in the implementation of environmental projects, the company reports.

In the fourth quarter of this year, Gazpromneft-Orenburg will complete the construction of a gas compressor station at the Vostochny block of the Orenburg oil and gas condensate field, which will make it possible to send the entire volume of associated petroleum gas (APG) to the Orenburg gas processing plant. Due to this, in 2018 the company plans to achieve at least 95% APG utilization at the Eastern block.

Other environmental protection measures taken by Gazpromneft-Orenburg will include optimization of waste management, their neutralization and disposal, environmental monitoring, control of pollutant emissions during the work of contractors for the development and workover of wells.

Previously, oil and gas companies all over the world flared APG directly at the fields and thereby caused significant damage to the environment. This led to the loss of energy resources and provided about 1% of all global greenhouse gas emissions.

Gazpromneft-Orenburg is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, it operates in the Orenburg, Novosergievsky, Perevolotsky and Sorochinsky districts Orenburg region, as well as in the city of Orenburg.

Year of Ecology

By decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, 2017 in Russia was declared the year of ecology to draw attention to the problematic issues that exist in the environmental sphere and improve the state of the country's environmental security.

A significant part of the plan for the Year of Ecology, which replaced the Year of Cinema, is devoted to waste management: from the elimination of illegal landfills and the "people's" map of landfills to the introduction of a system for collecting mercury-containing waste and batteries, and also includes the re-equipment of Russian enterprises and the transition to more "green" technologies .

The Year of Ecology is held in Russia for the second time in the last five years. It was first held in 2013. Its main results included the closure of the Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill, the creation of two new national parks - Beringia in Chukotka and Onega Pomorie in the Arkhangelsk region.

Former Minister of the Environment and natural resources Sergey Donskoy reported that the total amount of investments in environmental projects in the Year of Ecology will be about 400 billion rubles, and this will be both public and private investments. At the same time, most of the investments will be allocated from private sources.

The largest volume of investments falls on oil and gas projects: these are measures to compensate for harm natural objects, restoration of the environment, construction of treatment facilities. They will amount to about 100 billion rubles.

As TASS was informed in the Ministry of Natural Resources, in 2016 the total volume of investments in environmental projects of the Russian Federation amounted to 150 billion rubles. Thus, in the Year of Ecology, public and private investments in such projects will increase by almost 2.7 times.

2017 has been declared the Year of the Environment at PJSC Gazprom. In this regard, several dozen eco-events are planned at Gazprom transgaz Tchaikovsky LLC, in which more than two and a half thousand employees will take part.

During the year, the enterprise plans to carry out activities in the following areas: greening production, maintaining a favorable environment in the regions of the Company's operations, rehabilitation of natural objects and complexes, environmental education and information activity among workers and the public.

It is expected that the gas workers will become active participants in traditional environmental campaigns: "Clean Park", "Clean Coast", "Plant a Tree", subbotniks. The events will be held on the territory of the Company's production facilities and sanitary protection zones, as well as settlements where the business units are located. As in 2016, OOO Gazprom transgaz Tchaikovsky will take part in the All-Russian environmental clean-up campaign Green Spring. A number of bike rides will be held throughout the year, one of the tasks of which will be environmental education.

Traditionally great attention given to pupils and students. Excursions to the production facilities of the enterprise, environmental lessons, quizzes and competitions will be organized for them.

The issues of introducing environmental protection technologies and equipment of fixed assets for environmental purposes will not be left aside. In particular, work will continue to replace standard combustion chambers on GPA GTK-10-4 engines with low-emission ones, as well as testing a technology to reduce pollutant emissions into the atmospheric air, developed as part of research work at the second compressor shop of the Gornozavodskaya compressor station.

In total, during 2017, the number of subbotniks, environmental campaigns, eco-campaigns, competitions, meetings and other thematic events will exceed five hundred. They will take place in all divisions of the Company and any employee of OOO Gazprom transgaz Tchaikovsky will be able to take part in them.

Careful and rational use natural resources, minimizing environmental risks are Gazprom Neft's priorities. In an effort to achieve the "Goal - Zero" - zero damage to the environment - the Company consistently reduces the burden on the environment, introduces best practices, developments and technologies in the field of environmental protection, and improves the system of environmental training for employees.

Gazprom Neft is developing risk management in the field of environmental safety, ensuring constant environmental monitoring and industrial environmental control. Analysis of the impact of production activities on the environment is carried out at all stages of the life cycle of production, starting with pre-project surveys. Assessment of the potential impact on the environment, environmental monitoring and independent expertise are required when making management and investment decisions.

When planning new projects, Gazprom Neft enterprises assess the impact of planned activities on the environment. Based on the results of the analysis, the best available technologies (BAT) are introduced at all stages of the project, aimed at minimizing the negative impact.

Year of Ecology

As part of the Year of the Environment in Russia, in 2017 Gazprom Neft developed and implemented a special environmental action plan aimed at addressing key environmental challenges.

The main areas of activity were:

  • environmental education of personnel;
  • production activities, such as the modernization of production facilities, the development and implementation of environmentally friendly technologies, the reduction of negative environmental impact indicators, the commissioning of environmental facilities, the implementation of energy saving programs;
  • non-production activities - environmental monitoring, conservation of biological diversity, support for federal and international environmental campaigns;
  • environmental communication - the formation of platforms for communication and interaction with stakeholders: NGOs, authorities state power, pupils and students;
  • special project "Green Territory" - creation of infrastructure for separate collection of waste at gas stations and in the offices of the Company, landscaping and landscaping of territories.

In general, the Company implemented more than 1.1 thousand events of the Year of the Environment, allocating more than 17.5 billion rubles for these purposes.

Among the key results:

  • a complex gas treatment unit was put into operation (stage 1) at the Novoportovskoye field of LLC Gazpromneft-Yamal to inject associated petroleum gas into the reservoir in order to maintain reservoir pressure;
  • completed work on the construction of biological treatment facilities "Biosfera" at Moscow refinery and the construction of treatment facilities at the Omsk Oil Refinery began (the project became the largest among projects within the framework of the Year of the Environment in the Company);
  • a landfill was put into operation at the Taylakovskoye field for disposal and processing of industrial and household waste at OAO Slavneft-Megionneftegaz;
  • launched 36 million fish fry in water bodies;
  • 100 subbotniks were held in the regions of presence, in which more than 6 thousand people took part (more than 1.5 hectares of land were cleared, more than 670 thousand tons of garbage were removed);
  • more than 298 thousand bushes and trees were planted as part of public actions.
"Green seismic"

Technology E.2

25 million rubles expected economic effect on each project from the application of a new methodology

1 300 trees per 1 km 2 allows you to save from cutting

"Green seismic" is a technology that allows you to protect trees from cutting down in the area of seismic surveys.

Seismic exploration is one of the main ways to study the structure of the subsoil, which no mining company can do without. But in wooded areas, for its implementation, clearings 4 m wide have to be cut down so that heavy all-terrain vehicles that carry sensors and pull the cable can pass through them.

"Green Seismic" allows you to install cableless recording systems with compact equipment. For this, narrow paths 1–1.5 m wide, cleared of bushes and undergrowth, are sufficient for light vehicles. Due to this, it is possible to reduce the felling of trees by 40%.

For example, at the seismic survey project in Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous region(KhMAO) - Ugra with an area of 330 km 2, about 1.2 million trees are cut down using the usual method. The use of "green seismic" allows you to save 450 thousand trees.

For the first time in Gazprom Neft, such equipment was tested in 2014 at foreign assets (the Middle East project in the Kurdish Autonomous Region of the Republic of Iraq), and then at the fields of Gazpromneft-NNG, Gazpromneft-Khantos, Gazpromneft -Vostok" and "Slavneft-Megionneftegaz". It turned out that the quality of geological information obtained in this way is not inferior to the results of traditional seismic exploration.

Geologists can monitor the signal from the sensors in real time and conduct express processing of the results in the field. new technology it is convenient to use in areas with mountainous terrain or infrastructure, where it is much easier to locate wireless sensors than traditional ones. It opens up the possibility of working in difficult areas, where previously seismic exploration with the required quality was considered almost impossible.

In addition, the cost of seismic surveys is reduced. The economic effect from the application of the new methodology is expected to be about 25 million rubles. for every project.

In 2017, a decision was made to 100% replicate green seismic approaches across all of the Company's projects. In 2018, with elements of this technology, two large projects are being implemented in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra with a total area of 600 km2. In 2019, work is planned on several projects in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra and the Orenburg Region, the research area will be about 1,000 km2.

Atmospheric protection

In 2017, the Company’s gross atmospheric emissions decreased by 26% compared to 2016. This result was achieved due to the further modernization of oil refineries, the implementation of APG utilization programs and the increase in APG consumption for oil treatment due to the growth in well production.

In 2017, the Company’s gross emissions into the atmosphere decreased by 26 %

One of the ways to reduce emissions into the atmosphere is to improve the environmental performance of products. In the reporting year, the Moscow Refinery continued construction of the Euro+ oil refining unit, which is designed for primary oil refining and the production of fuel components of a high environmental class Euro-5. The construction of the new complex will allow the Moscow Refinery to decommission several older generation units, improve energy efficiency and industrial safety, and reduce environmental impact.

The Omsk Refinery produced the first batch of new marine fuel with improved environmental performance. Due to the minimum sulfur content - no more than 0.1% - the product is suitable for use in emission control zones defined by the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships MARPOL. The new fuel is certified in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Community.

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions

Gazprom Neft, as one of the leaders in the Russian oil industry, is aware of its responsibility to preserve the environment for present and future generations. The Company pays special attention to the control of greenhouse gas emissions, one of the key environmental tasks of mankind today. Gazprom Neft supports the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement, the Concept for Forming a System for Monitoring and Verification of Greenhouse Gas Emissions in the Russian Federation, and ensures compliance with national legislation in the field of greenhouse gas emissions control. The Company continued to develop the APG Utilization Improvement Program at all of its production assets. This Program allows you to reduce emissions while increasing production efficiency.

in number key projects entered:

  • launch of fuel gas treatment units to meet the fuel needs of the gas turbine power plant of the Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye field;
  • increase in APG consumption for oil treatment by increasing the production of well products by JSC Messoyakhaneftegaz, switching the fuel supply of the GTPP from natural gas to APG;
  • putting into operation a gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 96 MW and an APG compression unit at the facilities of the Novoportovskoye field to ensure the injection of APG into the reservoir;
  • commissioning of compressor stations at the Shinginskoye and Zapadno-Luginetskoye fields.
The increase in the amount of APG flared is associated with an increase in oil production at the Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye, Novoportovskoye, Urmano-Archinskoye fields. Construction of infrastructure for APG utilization at these assets is at the final stage.

Volumes of APG use (million m 3)

To reduce the impact on the environment to zero - such a goal was set at the Moscow Oil Refinery. There, Gazprom Neft completed the second stage of modernization, the 360 TV channel reported.

The program began six years ago, during which time production has managed to reach world standards in terms of economy. And the other day, two more large projects were completed at the MPNZ.

There is no such unique purification system in the oil refining industry anywhere in Russia. Wastewater treatment plant"Biosphere" is the key environmental project at the Moscow Oil Refinery. Almost 100% - this efficiency is shown by the new system in water purification. Thus, the plant will reduce the burden on the city's sewage treatment plants and the environment.

In this process of water treatment, we get water at the outlet, which, in terms of quality and purity, surpasses the quality of water, which is, for example, in the Moscow River

Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Management Board, Gazprom Neft.

A modern automated air monitoring system operates here. Here, in the center of monitoring and diagnostics, all the data is collected, the indicators are monitored by specialists. The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and representatives of environmental departments came to see the new system.

The data of the monitoring system are transferred to the supervisory authorities and published in the public domain on the plant's website. So anyone can find out the quality of local air. The new monitoring complex at the plant is a three-stage control.

The first level is sensors that are installed at facilities that produce harmful emissions. Further there are already sensors, this is the Mosecomonitoring system, which takes air measurements and the content of harmful substances along the perimeter of the sanitary protection zone

Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Management Board, Gazprom Neft.

Also, independent laboratories now work at the Moscow Refinery - twice a day they take air samples and measure the level of pollutants. So, measurements are made both on the territory of the plant and outside it.

At the Moscow Refinery, Gazprom Neft has another new project which will launch in 2018. This is the construction of a combined Euro+ oil refining unit. The volume of oil refining will increase, and the level of environmental safety will increase.

"Euro+" is one more step to reduce emissions at the level of the most world standards. And I even think that we will not find such emission standards in the world

Alexander Khloponin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

Modernization of the Moscow Refinery began in 2011. In six years, new closed facilities for water purification were built, waste accumulated during the Soviet period was removed, and the bitumen production unit was reconstructed. As a result, the environmental impact was reduced by half. And in three years, this figure will decrease by half.
