First of all, the Bible says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (see Heb. 13:8). God says, "I am the Lord, I do not change" (Mal. 3:6). Let's study the Scriptures without losing sight of this principle. Could God fight for Israel in the Old Testament when they were in unbelief?

After the Exodus, God promised to bring Israel into the promised land (see Ex. 33:1-3). Twelve men were sent to scout the area. However, when they heard the "bad rumor" about the "giants" living in that country, the people "murmured against Moses", saying: "Let us return to Egypt"

(Num. 13:32,33; 14:24). After that, God Himself pronounced such a judgment: “But your sons will wander in the wilderness for forty years ... until all your bodies perish in the wilderness ... so that you know what it means be abandoned by Me” (Num. 14&3 34). Thus, because of Israel's unbelief, God was unable to fulfill His promise to that generation of Israel.

Sadly, the ancient Israelites were unwilling to accept the 40-year sentence. The people suggested in any case to go “to the place that the Lord spoke about? (Num. 14:40). But Moses said, “It won't work. Do not go, for the Lord is not among you... the Lord will not be with you... But they dared to rise up... 3. Argument about the gathering of the scattered Israelites in the last days

This is an "essential" argument. The idea is now being expressed around the world that the ancient prophecies of the Old Testament, which predicted the return of the scattered Israelites to their land, were fulfilled in 1948. The main prophecy that is cited as evidence for this view is recorded in the Book of Ezekiel, chapters 36-38.

1. God specifically told ancient Israel that he would gather their children “out of all the peoples” immediately after “you are seventy years old in Babylon” Jer. 29:10,14,18).

2. The period of time after the Babylonian captivity is also called "the last days" (Jer. 29:10-14; 30:24; 27:2-7; 48:47; 49:39; 50:1). Thus, the phrase "the last days" does not always specifically refer to "the time immediately preceding" the Second Coming of Jesus. Moses said ancient Israel: "I know that after my death ... and in the aftermath of time disasters will come upon you" (Deut. 31:29).

3. Thrice in Ezek. 38 the newly assembled Israelites are called a people who will "dwell in safety" (v. 8). They are characterized as "carefree, carefree". “They all live without walls” (v. 11). “My people Israel will live in safety” (v. 14). These words clearly do not apply to modern Israelis, who are surrounded on all sides by terrorists, hostile to the Arab world. Of course, the Russians should not be afraid of anything - in her prophecies about Putin and Russia, Vanga clearly predicted only a bright future for our country. But the representatives of Europe and the United States should think about what kind of future the Muslims are preparing for them, whom they so cordially let into their homes. So, some of the predictions predict bloody conflicts with adherents of radical Islam for almost a whole millennium.
