Time flies fast. Our institute is already 19 years old. Far back in 1991… The proposal of the Perm regional executive committee to open a pedagogical institute in the north of the Perm region was supported by the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR, and on April 6, 1991, the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR No. 191 “On the organization of the Solikamsk State Pedagogical Institute” was issued.

The first rector of our institute is Zimin Alexander Leonidovich. SSPI 2010 is a state educational institution of higher professional education, which once again confirmed its status by passing the procedure state accreditation. This is a university that conducts educational activities in 24 programs of higher, secondary, primary vocational education; additional and postgraduate (postgraduate) education. This university has an international quality management system certification (CRO CERT Croatia) for the compliance of the management and activities of the university with the ISO 9001:2008 standard. The quality of student training is also confirmed by the results of Internet exams, in which the institute participates twice a year, starting from 2006; reviews of representatives of the State Attestation Commissions and employers.

SSPI 2010 is a steadily developing institution of higher education. More than 1500 students study at 5 faculties. The teaching staff of the institute are teachers, of which more than 60% have academic degrees and titles. It is very pleasant that among the teachers of the university there are many of its graduates: Pavlova I.V. - Candidate of Philology; Tserkovnaya I.A., Maltseva N.V., Egorova N.N. – Candidates of Psychological Sciences; Milkevich O.A., Yaburova E.A., Bushueva N.L., Bezusova T.A., Richter T.V. - Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences.

SSPI 2010 is an established system of research work; this is financing of fundamental and applied research from the federal and regional budgets; these are international exchanges of teachers and students; publication of scientific collections, monographs, textbooks and teaching aids. Researches of L.V. Bankovsky, Candidate of Geographical Sciences "Solikamsk - the city of crystal" - the winner of the city competition dedicated to the 580th anniversary of the city. Popular science films created by teachers and students of the institute received the title of laureate of the festival "Student Concert and Theater Spring 2010" in the nomination Journalism. SSPI 2010 is the university where I have been working since August 1991, where I went from senior lecturer of the department to the rector. In 1992, at the Solikamsk State Pedagogical Institute, students were admitted to the department for the first time. distance learning. The departments are staffed with highly qualified personnel: the percentage of people with academic degrees and academic titles is on average 85%. All departments use new methods and techniques of teaching disciplines, while improving traditional forms. The teaching staff of the departments that train students in the specialty periodically undergoes advanced training courses related to modern technologies training in high school. Serious attention is paid to the professional orientation of the courses taught, the possibilities of practical classes are used to model pedagogical situations and solve professional pedagogical problems.

Current attestations are carried out in accordance with the curriculum in the form of tests and exams. In addition to organizational, educational and methodological work, scientific and educational activities are carried out at the department. Students annually make presentations at traditional scientific and practical conferences held by the departments on the basis of the university and having various statuses - all-Russian and international. The most interesting reports are published in the university collection of materials based on the results of the conference. The directions of scientific research are different: pedagogy, psychology, private methods, history, social pedagogy, health-saving pedagogical technologies. The successful performance of students with the results of research conducted within the framework of the WRC at the conference allows not only to form a culture public speaking, but also to equate the presentation with a report to the procedure for pre-defense of the WRC in preparation for the final state tests. In addition, students take an active part in methodological seminars, competitions and events held by the departments.

The educational process is built in full accordance with the working curriculum developed on the basis of the state educational standard. Scheduled annually educational process. The educational activities of the department of distance learning include the holding of professionally oriented events (carrying out by students and teachers of departments open classes, mutual visits of students within the framework of pre-diploma teaching practice and practice at school, preparation and holding of holidays, solemn presentation of diplomas), which forms students' professional readiness for labor activity, stimulates the development of an understanding of the significance of the profession.
