When the holidays start after 3rd quarter. Annual educational and calendar schedule \ Ellyk calendar Uku grafigy. Negative sides: cons of training in trimesters

Trimester at school 2017-2018 is a relatively new form of organization of study time, rather unaccustomed to our children.

The word "trimester" comes from the Latin "trimestris", or "three months". It is almost universally used in schools in England and, partially, in the USA and the Russian Federation.

Unlike the usual one, with such a system, all the time of study is distributed evenly, that is, it is divided into equal parts, and the intervals between study and rest are almost the same. The key argument “for” the use of trimesters, according to experts, is that such an organization of the educational process helps to properly distribute the load on schoolchildren without causing overwork even among elementary school students.

In the trimester system of education, there are only six training periods - each of the trimesters is divided into two parts, and six periods of rest - holidays. The duration of each trimester is five or six weeks, the duration of the holidays is a week, with the exception of the two-week New Year and three-month summer holidays.

Perhaps there is no such student who does not look forward to the holidays. Both excellent students and losers with the same enthusiasm count the days until the start of the long-awaited vacation. And, for sure, most students start counting literally from the very first school days, even though it has become fashionable to study well now. After all, it is to improve academic performance that the transition from quarters to trimesters is intended. To date, the preliminary schedule of school holidays for trimesters for the 2017-2018 academic year is as follows: five (sometimes six) weeks of classes alternate with a week of rest.

  • 1st trimester / autumn holidays - from October 7 to October 15, 2017 inclusive;
  • 2nd trimester / autumn holidays Stage 2 - from November 18 to November 26, 2017 inclusive;
  • 3rd trimester / winter holidays - from December 30, 2017 to January 9, 2018 inclusive;
  • 4th trimester / winter holidays Stage 2 - from February 17 to February 25, 2018 (sometimes these holidays are called spring holidays);
  • 5th trimester / spring break - from April 7 to April 15, 2018 inclusive;
  • 6th trimester / summer vacation - from June 1 to August 31 inclusive.

Calendar for convenience:

As you can see, in the modern system of education, each trimester ends with a short rest. However, when planning vacations for 2017-2018, it is worth remembering that rest time in schools with a trimester system of education practically does not coincide with vacations in a regular, quarterly system. The only exception was the traditional New Year holidays - the Ministry of Education recommends taking a day off the last week before and the first week after the New Year.

The situation is similar with long summer holidays - by order of the relevant department, absolutely all schoolchildren have a rest during this period, regardless of the education system.

Perhaps, by the 2018-2019 academic year, norms will already be introduced that control the organization of students' rest at uniform time intervals, which is already being actively discussed in the Government.

Possible changes

Those who plan holidays in advance should remember that the dates of the trimester holidays given in the article for the 2017-2018 academic year are approximate. The fact is that the Ministry of Education determines only the total duration of study time and rest time, plus gives recommendations on the start and end dates of vacations. For example, school holidays for students must necessarily begin at the beginning of the working week, that is, on Monday.

The school, however, retains the right to independently set vacation time - of course, within the framework of the recommendations of the ministry. So children of different schools and different regions have a rest at different times - somewhere the beginning of the holidays had to be “moved” due to severe frosts or spring floods, somewhere, on the contrary, everything goes according to plan. So the exact, final dates for the beginning and end of the school holidays for the trimesters for the 2017-2018 academic year are determined by the school leadership.

The Ministry of Education reserves the right for the educational institution to determine the form of organization of study time on its own, and the system of education - quarterly or trimester - is prescribed in the Charter of each school. Thus, the government department gives the opportunity to the students themselves and their parents to choose how they prefer to study - with the distribution of the load by quarters or trimesters. The school administration and the parent committee can make changes to the educational process.

The vacation schedule in schools, universities and institutions of secondary vocational education in Moscow is approved individually for each educational institution by its director, rector or other person responsible for making decisions. In practice, the vacation schedule rarely differs from the recommendations of a higher authority.

Russian schools live according to two educational "calendars": quarters and trimesters. Depending on this, as well as focusing on the recommendations of the Ministry of Education, educational institutions themselves determine the dates of holidays. In general, it is beneficial for the school to adhere to the generally established framework, since general holidays mean more opportunities for organizing high-quality children's leisure: performances, excursions, concerts, etc.

Holidays in schools with a quarterly education system

Those who study in quarters have holidays four times a year - autumn, winter, spring and summer.

– 2019 academic year

Of these, the dates of the autumn holidays at the end of October and the beginning of November are less stable: the date of their end depends on the Day of National Unity, which is celebrated on November 4. So, for example, the autumn holidays of 2018 will not last traditionally from Monday to Sunday, but one more day due to the postponement of the day off. I.e from October 27th to November 5th.

New Year holidays 2018–2019 academic year

New Year holidays, as a rule, begin from the last week of December and end on the 10th of January. Students go to school on Monday. Winter holidays in 2018/2019 academic year will be extended from December 30th to January 8th. First-graders will also have additional vacations in the winter * - from 16 to 25 February.

Spring break 2019 academic year

The situation with holidays in the spring is much simpler - the dates do not depend on the holidays. Spring break is in the last week of March and the first week of April. In 2019, schoolchildren will have a rest March 23 to March 31.

Summer holidays 2019 academic year

Summer holidays will start as usual - from the last Monday of May. In 2019, it falls on the 27th. In this way, from May 27 to September 1 schoolchildren are waiting for three happy months free from lessons.

* For students of the first grades and classes of correctional and developmental education.

In addition to scheduled holidays, classes at the school may be canceled for the following reasons:

In principle, school holidays are already an established value. The number of days has not changed for a long time. Summer holidays are three months. Autumn and spring - one week each. During the winter break, students have two weeks off.

The Ministry of Education names the approximate dates of the holidays, and the school administration already approves them finally, according to the given time frame.

The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation does not set exact dates for children's vacations in all educational institutions, but only limits itself to recommendations on the time of rest periods for Russian students, taking into account their studies in quarters or trimesters. There are also schools and gymnasiums that provide children with additional vacation periods, and for first-graders, in addition to the general ones, 7-day vacations in February are mandatory.

Vacation schedule for the 2018-2019 academic year

When studying at school in quarters, the recommended rest periods in schools, gymnasiums and lyceums are 7 calendar days in autumn, 2 weeks in winter and 1 week in spring. Two additional days, at the discretion of the administration of the educational institution, can be added to the autumn or winter rest, taking into account public holidays (November 4 and New Year).

This means that the vacation schedule for 2018-2019. may include the following vacation dates:

  • autumn - from October 27 to November 5, 2018;
  • winter - from 12/26/2018 to 01/08/2019;
  • spring - from 23 to 31 March 2019

Summer holidays begin for elementary school students on May 23-25, and for high school students (except for grades 9 and 11) - from June 1. Graduates will complete the educational process in accordance with the schedule of exams, taking place from the end of May to the end of June.

National Unity Day in 2018 falls on Sunday, so the autumn holidays of the 2018-2019 academic year will most likely begin on October 29 and end on November 5, amounting to 8 days, and taking into account the days off (October 27 and 28) - 9-10 days. During this time, students will be able to have a good rest, visit museums and theaters, go to the cinema and spend time with their parents and friends.

The New Year holidays of 2019 begin for schoolchildren after December 25, 2018 and continue until January 9, 2019. All-Russian New Year holidays fall at this time, so the children will be able to spend them with their families. Family holidays can be spent at ski resorts, on trips to interesting places in Russia. Throughout the country at this time, there are many fun activities for children that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

In the spring, the holidays of the 2018-2019 academic year will begin on March 23, and schoolchildren will begin their studies on April 1, 2019. The third quarter is the longest, and rest is especially needed after it. The end of the school year is coming, and you should have a good rest in order to complete it without problems. If the weather allows, this time should be devoted to walks and outdoor games. Holidays will also allow you to improve your knowledge in those subjects that require additional training.

Many Russian schools, with the consent of the parent committees, switched to trimester education, which involves dividing the study period into 3 parts. This entails a change in the rest time of schoolchildren in comparison with students in quarters.

Holidays with a modular system are calculated according to the following scheme: training - 5-6 weeks, then rest - 7 days. Children take the following breaks in their studies:

  • in autumn 2018, these days fall on October 7-13 and November 18-24;
  • in winter - from 12/29/2018 to 01/08/2019 and February 18-24;
  • spring 2019 - April 8-14.
  • Summer vacation will last from June 1 to August 31.

Holidays for first grade students

Additional holidays for first-graders in 2018-2019 will be held from February 25 to March 3. They are introduced in order to help the young student to better adapt to learning and spend the longest quarter in the study period. The same additional vacation period is recommended for students of correctional educational institutions. In some schools, a holiday in February is arranged for all students in primary grades from 1 to 4.

The decision on when to dismiss schoolchildren on vacation in Russia is made by the educational institution itself. In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education, the duration of vacations, their start and end dates are determined by the school. Only the total duration of study and vacation periods is regulated, which allows children to cope with the curriculum without “overloads”:

  • the academic year for first-graders should last at least 33 weeks, for students of other classes - at least 34;

  • the period of summer rest for children is at least 8 weeks;

  • short vacations within the school year must total at least 30 days, and first grade students are allowed an extra week.

Despite the given freedom of choice, most Russian educational institutions adhere to the traditional scheme that developed back in Soviet times when approving the vacation schedule: four quarters, a week of rest in November, two for the New Year holidays, another week at the end of March. Regional education departments usually send out recommended vacation dates in advance of the start of the school year, but the final decision remains with the school administration.

Moscow is an exception. Here, vacation dates are the same and are set by the Metropolitan Department of Education for two options for the study schedule - traditional (quarter) and trimester (modular), when the year is divided into equal intervals and five weeks are followed by one vacation.

In the regions, the dates may vary slightly, but the vast majority of schools, gymnasiums and lyceums will have the same curriculum.

School year start and end dates

2017-2018 academic year traditionally starts September 1, on the Day of Knowledge. This year, the first week of school will be very short - the first day of autumn falls on the calendar on Friday, so that students will have the opportunity to smoothly move from rest to study.

The end date of the school year may be slightly shifted due to the peculiarities of the academic schedule. Primary grades will be the first to leave for the summer holidays - their school year will end May 22-24. Middle and high school students will study for a few days longer, for them the last day of school will be May 25-26. In Moscow schools that have chosen a modular mode of study, high school students will sit at their desks the longest - until the 31st.

9th and 11th grade students taking final exams will be exempted from study hassle in accordance with their exam schedule. The Unified State Examination and the OGE will begin in the last week of May and will run until the end of June.

graduation parties most will pass during the period from 23 to 25 May(they are not recommended to be held on June 22, on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow), but if a student takes any exams on reserve days, his exam marathon can continue after receiving a certificate.

Fall break dates 2017

According to a long tradition, the autumn holidays in schools are held the first week of November. In Soviet times, they were "combined" with the celebration of the anniversary of the October Revolution, but now they fall on National Unity Day, celebrated on November 4th. In 2017, the holiday will be a Saturday, and due to the postponement of the holiday to Monday, November 6, adults will have a three-day mini-vacation. For schoolchildren, these days, of course, will also be "time off" - an extra day of rest will be "added" to the usual weekly duration of the November holidays.

In most Russian schools, the autumn holidays - 2017 will be held according to the following schedule:

  • duration– 8-9 days;

  • official start– October 30 (Monday) or the previous Sunday;

  • last day of rest– October 6 (Monday) or October 7 (Tuesday).

Winter holidays schedule at school in 2017-2018 academic year

The middle of the school year will traditionally be marked by a two-week period of winter rest timed to coincide with the celebration of the New Year and Christmas. This is perhaps the most significant vacation of the school year. If only because the January holiday decade in Russia is the only time when both adults and children are simultaneously freed from daily troubles for a long time and can plan quite long trips with the whole family. Therefore, it is especially important to find out the exact timing of the winter holidays in schools.

By tradition, schoolchildren are allowed to rest 3-4 days before the New Year, and they go “to the machine” almost simultaneously with adults - either on the same day or the next, and the period of the all-Russian weekend completely “fits” into children's holidays.

In the winter of 2017-2018, the “typical” school vacation schedule will be as follows:

  • duration- 14 days;

  • first day of rest– December 28 (Thursday);

  • last day of vacation– January 10 (Wednesday).

Additional holidays for first grade students - 2018

The third quarter is the longest and usually the most difficult for students. To "unload" the smallest, in February, first-grade students are given an extra week of rest. In addition, the February holidays are recommended for students of correctional schools, and in some educational institutions even the entire “primary school” can rest in February - from 1 to.

The timing of additional holidays is the most variable, in some regions they are preferred to be held at the beginning of February, and in some - at the end of the month, on the week when Defender of the Fatherland Day is celebrated.

In 2018, the first classes will rest for either a week from 5 to 11 February(this option may be the most common), or from the 17th to the 25th.

School Spring Break Schedule 2018

The date for which spring break is “aspiring” is April 1. In the fourth quarter usually began on this day. In 2018, the first day of April will be Sunday. And in most schools, the rest schedule will be like this:

  • duration– 8-9 days,

  • vacation start– March 24 (Saturday) or March 25 (Sunday);

  • last day of rest- April 1 (Sunday).

In some schools, the schedule may be shifted a week ahead, and students will rest a week later, April 1st to 8th.

Official vacation schedule for Moscow schools: traditional and trimester (modular) modes of study

In the capital, vacation dates for the 2017-2018 academic year are dictated by a special order from the city's Department of Education. It was signed on 03/09/2017.

In accordance with the order in schools where children study on, holidays will be announced:

  • in October- from 1 to 8 number;

  • In November- from 5 to 12 (in fact, children will start resting a day earlier, November 4 is a general day off);

  • on New Year's holidays– from December 31 to January 10;

  • in February– from 18 to 25;

  • in April- from the 8th to the 15th.

In educational institutions of Moscow, working according to the "classical" system four quarters, the following vacation periods will be established:

  • autumn– from October 29 to November 6;

  • winter– from December 31 to January 10;

  • additional February– from 18 to 25 February;

  • spring- from 1 to 8 April.

How to find out the exact vacation dates for a child

Since the final decision on vacation dates is made by the school authorities, the dates of their start or end in different educational institutions may not coincide with the “average” schedule.

There are several ways to find out the vacation schedule at your school.

  1. Go to the official website of the school. By law, all "calendar" information must be contained there. As a rule, it is located in the "Organization of the educational process" or "Schedule" section.

  2. Look into the child. Vacation schedules may be posted in the announcement or parent information sections. But even if this is not the case, you can try to "scroll" the magazine for the period of the proposed vacation and "calculate" the exact dates - no lessons will be scheduled for them;

  3. Ask your child's class teacher. The schedule is usually approved in the summer, sometimes even earlier. By the time the school “roll calls” are held, teachers usually already have this information.

  4. Call the reception and check the vacation dates with the secretary of the educational institution.

In a day, a child manages to live a whole life filled with adventures, new acquaintances, study, games, research, quarrels and reconciliations. But even the most energetic and successful children need rest. And its proper organization is already the task of adults.

Instruction

Daily regime

For any person, the regime of the day is useful. It helps to eat on time, get enough sleep, work fruitfully and rest. For a child, the mode is useful. Children are not yet able to organize themselves. From complete permissiveness, irregular nutrition and sleep, they get tired very quickly, not only physically, but also emotionally. Naturally, there are situations when the regime has to be violated, for example, travel, illness or. But if this happens occasionally, it only adds colors and emotions to everyday, familiar life.

Best of all, the child restores strength in a dream. And if in infancy, and then in kindergarten, no one disputes the need for daytime sleep, then at school age, parents often dismiss it. However, most pediatricians agree that daytime sleep is very beneficial for a younger student. You don’t need to fill your child’s day with extra activities and circles. Just one pleasant hour in a well-ventilated room will inspire strength in a student who is tired after class. A well-slept, rested and calm student learns knowledge much easier than his nervous and overworked peers.

Leisure

Despite the active promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the introduction of an additional week in schools, preparation leaves much to be desired. Outdoor games, walks in the park and hikes in the forest are also recreation that a growing body needs like air. However, the vast majority prefer playing football in the yard. It is necessary to accustom the child to physical exercises from a very early age, literally after he learns to walk. But if you yourself sit in front of the TV for whole evenings, and the offer to take a walk in the evening causes you bewilderment, it is naive to expect success in sports from your child.

Tip 3: What will be the schedule of school holidays in the 2016-2017 academic year

In recent years, the schedule of school holidays has become “floating”: they no longer have exact dates set once and for all, and every year their dates are slightly shifted. What does it depend on, and what will be the vacation schedule for the 2016-2017 academic year?

What affects vacation time?

According to modern Russian laws, there is no single school vacation schedule in the country: in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education, educational institutions have the right to independently set the schedule for children's rest, the number of short holidays and their duration. The only exception is Moscow, where all schoolchildren study and rest according to one of two schedules: the traditional one, when the academic year is divided into four quarters, and the modular one (five weeks of study and one rest) and for each option, uniform vacation periods are established.

In other regions of Russia, educational authorities usually issue recommendations in which they suggest that educational institutions set the dates for the start and end of vacations, leaving the final decision “at the mercy” of the school administration.

Vacations are recommended to start on Monday (so that the weekend "pluses" them), which allows not "" school weeks into parts and increase the duration of uninterrupted rest for schoolchildren. The exact duration of the holidays is also not regulated - as a rule, 30-35 days are allotted for rest during the school year, which allows you to fully complete the curriculum by the end of May.

Despite such freedom, most Russian schools have a conservative approach to the issue of determining the schedule of school holidays - as a result, most of the country's schoolchildren have a rest at the same time.

What will be the vacation dates in the 2016-2017 academic year in most Russian schools?

Fall break dates 2016

Autumn holidays are traditionally held in early November and fall on the week in which Russians celebrate National Unity Day (November 4).

In 2016 autumn holidays will start on October 31(Monday) and will last until the end of the week, until November 6 (Sunday). The second academic quarter will begin on November 7th. Thus, in schools where it is a school day, schoolchildren will rest for 8 days, students for five days - 9.

However, National Unity Day this year falls on a Friday. Therefore, in some schools, the start date of the autumn holidays-2016 can be set on November 7, which will increase the duration of the holidays by adding a holiday to them. In this case, students will have a rest until November 13, and the duration of the rest will be 10 days.

Schedule of winter school holidays 2016-2017

The winter school holidays that fall on the New Year holidays and separate the second quarter from the third are especially loved by schoolchildren - they are the longest of all "intra-annual" ones. In addition, they coincide with the all-Russian holiday period for adults, which allows families to spend time together, including when traveling. Therefore, the timing of the winter holidays, as a rule, is of particular concern to the parents of schoolchildren.

The winter vacation for schoolchildren they begin on the last Monday of December. In 2016-2017, the "start" will be quite early - the last Monday of the month falls on number 26(that is, schoolchildren will begin to rest from Sunday, December 25th). Children will have time to properly prepare for the main holiday of winter. True, the New Year's holiday will end earlier than usual - on January 8th.

The third, longest academic quarter starts on January 9, on Monday - it is on this day that schoolchildren will have to sit down at their desks again.

Terms of additional holidays for first graders

The third quarter is especially difficult for first-graders - they are not yet accustomed to the traditional school schedule, and therefore, in the middle of the third quarter, "special" holidays are arranged for them. To the envy of all other schoolchildren, they rest at the end of February for a whole week.

In 2016-2017 academic year additional holidays will start on February 20 and will last until the 26th, coinciding with the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day.

In the same period, students of correctional schools will also have a rest - they are also subject to the rule on additional vacations.

Spring School Break Dates - 2017

Spring break most often falls in the last week of March. The 2016-2017 academic year will be no exception.

Schoolchildren will be dismissed for vacation on Monday, March 27- and they will rest for one week, until April 2. Taking into account Sunday, the duration of the March rest will be 8 days with a six-day training period, and 9 days with a five-day training regime.

April 3rd will be the first day of the fourth quarter. It will last until the end of May (depending on the school, the academic year in all grades except 9 and 11 ends between May 21 and 31), after which schoolchildren will have three months of summer vacation.

Vacation schedule in 2016-2017 with the modular training mode "5 + 1"

In those schools in Moscow where the parents of students have chosen not the classical schedule of study with the division of the academic year into four quarters, but the modular scheme "five weeks of study - one week of rest", holidays in 2016-2017 will take place at the following dates:

  • from October 3 to October 9;

  • from November 14 to November 20;

  • from December 31 to January 8;

  • from February 20 to February 26;

  • from 10 April to 16 April.

Vacation schedule for quarters in Moscow schools

Pupils of Moscow schools, where the educational process is organized according to the traditional “four quarters” scheme, will have a rest in the 2016-2017 academic year in the same way as most schoolchildren in the country:

  • autumn vacation from October 31 to November 6;

  • the winter vacation from December 26 to January 8;

  • vacation from March 27 to April 2;

  • additional holidays for the first classes - from 20 to 26 February.

How to find vacation dates at your school

As already mentioned, the exact vacation schedule in each particular school in Russia (excluding Moscow) is determined by the administration of the educational institution and may differ from the generally accepted one.

Therefore, in order to accurately plan the child's vacation, you need to clarify the dates at your school. This can be done in various ways:

  • Check with your class teacher or secretary. At the beginning of the school year, the vacation schedule has already been approved, and the exact dates are known to all school staff (teachers prepare work programs in subjects for the school year based on this information).

  • View on the school website. Information about the dates of the beginning and end of the academic year, as well as the vacation schedule should be in the section on the organization of the educational process.

  • If the school uses an electronic diary system- the schedule of school holidays for 2016-2017 can also be viewed in it. Even if the school administration does not inform parents about the dates for the start and end of studies, by scrolling through the magazine forward, you can see until what date the classes are planned to be held.

Advice 4: How to rest for the New Year 2017: weekends and January holidays

With the approach of winter, Russians begin to worry about a completely reasonable question: how do we relax on New Year's Eve 2017? This time, the location of the dates is quite convenient, so there will be more than enough time to celebrate the New Year, rest and entertainment.

January 1 of the New Year 2017 - Sunday. With this festive day, everything is quite clear. People will traditionally celebrate the New Year with family or friends, and some will sleep off and just relax after a stormy New Year's Eve from 31st to 1st. It is worth noting that according to the eastern calendar, 2017 is the year of the Red Fire Rooster, so bright red shades should be present in festive outfits and jewelry. Astrologers predict that the coming year can be difficult in all plans, so it is important to meet it joyfully, with a positive attitude and faith in the best.

Weekends and January holidays for the New Year 2017 will continue from January 2 to January 8. And again, disputes about the advisability of such a long New Year's vacation still do not subside. Russians of mature age still remember the times when they officially rested only on January 1 and 2. According to surveys, most people have nothing to do after meeting the holiday. In addition, the country's production and economy have been almost completely idle for a whole week, which affects them negatively. The government is discussing the possibility of postponing part of the New Year holidays to the first week of May in order to provide Russians with more comfortable conditions for recreation, but the question is still open.

On January 7, Orthodox Russians will celebrate the great church holiday of the Nativity of Christ. This day is loved by almost all people, including those who have atheistic views. Who does not like to gather at the table with family, relatives and loved ones, congratulate each other and exchange pleasant gifts? In addition, in recent years, Russian folk Christmas traditions have been actively revived, for example, carols, which are very popular with children and young people. Thus, the next long-awaited days off and January holidays will come very soon, and in order for them to become interesting and memorable, it is worth preparing for such an event in advance.

March 05, 2018 179 Comments recording The third quarter in schools and educational institutions in 2018 when to end disabled

The third quarter in schools and educational institutions in 2018 when to end

The third quarter for most schoolchildren is not at all easy and the kids, of course, want and look forward to when they can sleep and relax on vacation. For the time being, this third quarter is still underway, but some three weeks will not have time to fly by and the teachers will sum up the results of the students' progress, and the schoolchildren will be dismissed for the long-awaited holidays. The quarter ends this year on 03/23/18 and, accordingly, from Saturday it is already rest. In terms of duration, the holidays should be until 04/01/18, but this is a day off on which schoolchildren do not study, respectively, the fourth quarter begins on April 2, and there are already a couple of months and long summer holidays.

As usual, spring school holidays start at the end of March. This question is often found on school forums: “When will the holidays begin?” So, the third academic quarter of 2018 will end on Saturday, March 24th. (This date may be different in some regions)

The third quarter is slowly but surely coming to an end.

Children always look forward to the holidays. Summer is of course a priority, but any vacation, at least a week, at least two (like in winter) is always a joy, especially for younger students, many of whom are really tired and they just want to be carefree children.

The third quarter will end on the 24th on Saturday.

It's just that on Monday 26 you don't have to go to school anymore.

When will the third quarter in schools end in 2018? When does spring break start?

Holidays are a long-awaited time for any student. Each of the students wants to take a break from the lessons as soon as possible. Therefore, it is very important for them to know what dates the holidays fall on.

There are no fixed dates for the start and end of school holidays in Russia. Officials are involved in drawing up vacation schedules every year.

The third quarter will end very soon, and the long-awaited spring break will begin on March 25th.

The last day of school will be Saturday, March 24th. The holidays will last seven days and end on the first of April.

The third quarter is, in my opinion, the most difficult and stressful of all, so both schoolchildren and teachers, and parents, are looking forward to spring break with great impatience.

Rest is especially necessary for graduates, they will have the last quarter before the whole whirlwind, which is called the Unified State Examination and admission, and all other schoolchildren will be able to run around on the street, get some air and just have a good sleep these days.

If we talk about spring break, then it is worth saying that there is no specific date, in each region they can set their own rest time for schoolchildren.

But there is a general approximate time for the end of the third quarter, which is March 24, from the next day all students can rest.

The third quarter in schools is (currently) in full swing, but March will fly by quickly and students are looking forward to spring break.

This academic year, the third quarter finishes on Saturday, March 24, 2018, and from March 25, students will go on spring break.

As far as I know, in 2018, in most Russian secondary schools, the third academic quarter will have to end on Saturday, March 24, 2018. By the way, many Russian first-graders will leave for spring break one more day earlier, because they do not study on Saturdays.
