Rules and terms of hunting in spring 2017

Hunting boats may only be used to collect game, but it is prohibited to use them to search, track, chase or take the game itself.

The use of birds of prey for game birds during this period is prohibited, but hunting dogs can only be used as gun dogs to search for wounded birds or feed already beaten game.

The dates for which the spring hunting of 2017 opens are regulated by a specific order. For some regions, the opening date is clearly defined, but some areas of the country do not have such certainty, since the binding comes with the weather.

The hunting period in spring will last for 10 calendar days. As for specific dates, there are slight changes from those that were last year.

For example, in the Kaliningrad region, hunting in the spring is planned to be carried out from March 15 to March 24. The Moscow region will open its doors for hunters from 15 to 24 April, the Republic of Adygea from 11 to 20 March.

In the Republic of Bashkortostan it will be possible to hunt from April 22 to May 1, but the Republic of Dagestan and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic are glad to accept hunters from March 1 to 10.

In the Republic of Kalmykia, the spring hunting period dates from March 11 to March 20. In the Stavropol Territory it will be possible to hunt white-fronted goose, mallard drake and woodcock from 11 to 20 March.

The dates of this year's hunt in all other regions of Russia remain the same as they were last season.

Autumn hunting 2017

The summer-autumn hunting season 2017 will open at its own time for each region. In many regions, the opening of hunting took place in July 2017 - according to the rules, hunting for swamp-meadow game is the first to be opened for owners of hunting birds and dogs of hunting breeds (you can hunt with island and continental pointing dogs, retrievers, spaniels).

Hunting for game birds with one gun dog carried out with the participation of no more than three hunters, each of which must have a hunting license, a valid permit for the storage and carrying of hunting weapons, a permit for the extraction of hunting resources and a permit issued in the prescribed manner (clause 3.2 a, b, d; clause 45 rules). In case of hunting with birds of prey, in addition to a hunting license, permit and voucher, you need permission to keep and breed them in semi-free conditions or in an artificially created habitat (clause 52 of the Federal Law "On the Fauna"). When using a dog and (and) hunting bird for hunting, they must be included in the ticket. Valid mark in the veterinary certificate of vaccination of the dog against rabies.

  • to waterfowl include geese, goose, ducks, coot, moorhen;
  • to steppe and field game include gray and bearded partridges, quail, saja, pheasants, pigeons and turtledoves;

  • to other game include loons, cormorants, skuas, gulls, terns, auks, classified as game animals in order to ensure the maintenance of a traditional lifestyle and the implementation of traditional economic activity indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East Russian Federation.

must be reported at the place of obtaining a permit for the extraction of hunting resources within the established time limits:

  • within 10 days after the capture, injury of the animal or the expiration of the permit when hunting ungulates and bears;
  • within 20 days after the extraction or expiration of the permit when hunting for other types of hunting resources.

Terms of autumn hunting in the Astrakhan and Arkhangelsk regions

Memo to the hunter when hunting for game birds

Hunting is an activity associated with the search, tracking, pursuit of hunting resources, their extraction, primary processing and transportation.

Illegal hunting is an act committed:

a) using a motor vehicle;

b) causing major damage;

c) in relation to birds and animals, the hunting of which is completely prohibited;

d) species listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and (or) protected by international treaties of the Russian Federation;

e) with prohibited tools and methods of hunting;

e) without a hunting permit.

Safety requirements for hunting and handling hunting tools.

1. When hunting, it is not allowed to shoot:

1.1. in the direction of people, as well as in the case when the projectile can pass closer than 15 meters from them;

1.2. for a purpose that is not clearly visible;

1.3. in cases where the hunter does not see or does not know the place where the projectile stops, taking into account the flight range and the possibility of projectile ricochet.

3. It is not allowed to hunt in a state of alcoholic or drug intoxication.

4. When a hunter discovers animals that have fallen for unknown reasons, it is not allowed to pick them up and use them for food.

5. When handling hunting firearms, it is necessary:

5.1. always handle hunting firearms as if they were loaded and ready to fire;

5.2. comply with the safety requirements and operation features set out in the passport (operating instructions) of a specific sample of hunting firearms;

5.3. check the barrel channels before and after firing for the presence of foreign objects in them and, if necessary, remove them;

5.4. in the event of a misfire, open the shutter of a hunting firearm no earlier than after 5 seconds;

5.5. transport hunting firearms unloaded and packed in a transport container, case or case. During transportation and transportation, cartridges can be packed in one cap with a weapon without being sent to the chamber, magazine equipment or drum.

6. When handling hunting firearms, it is not allowed:

6.2. send a cartridge into the chamber of the barrel by force or hammer it;

6.3. shoot simultaneously from two barrels of hunting firearms;

6.4. use cartridges that are not intended for firing from this sample of hunting firearms;

6.5. use for shooting faulty cartridges, expired cartridges and misfire cartridges or cartridges equipped with objects not intended for use as striking elements in this type of hunting firearms;

6.6. independently repair the main components and mechanisms of hunting firearms (barrel, bolt, drum, frame, receiver), make structural changes to them.

7. Ammunition of cartridges for hunting smooth-bore firearms may be carried out by the owner of this weapon for personal use in the presence of a permit for the storage and carrying of hunting smooth-bore firearms.

Violation of the Rules of hunting entails the imposition of an administrative fine in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation!
