It is quite logical to assume that the tradition of a detailed consideration of the Prologue of "Confessions of a Lover" also does not exist. Although at this stage there are a number of studies examining this component of the poem in detail, they all refer to foreign critical schools. Therefore, these studies of foreign Gauer scholars became the main material of the article.
