Technologies. Envelopes with individual sets no longer contain paper sheets, but disks. Forms and KIM are printed right in the audience with students. Rosobrnadzor claims that this eliminates data leakage.

Next year, in some regions, tasks will be transmitted via the Internet. Therefore, if you come across “merged” tasks from the upcoming USE on the Internet, then most likely these are old options from the FIPI open bank of tasks. Be careful and don't pay scammers any money.

There is also an online broadcast in the classrooms during the exam. In 2018, it came from 93% of the sites. Recordings can be reviewed after the end of the exam. According to experts, this helps to keep track of cheating in exams.

Promises. In 2022, they are going to introduce the third mandatory exam - in English. It, like mathematics, will be divided into basic and specialized levels. The basic one will assess knowledge of English from A1 to B2 according to the European classification of levels. In other words, "everyday" English for those who do not need it to enter a university.

The profile one will correspond to the level of the additional exam in a foreign language, which is currently being held. This is the level for applicants to language and international specialties.

Also by 2019, the Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva planned to introduce an oral part into the Unified State Examination in the Russian language. But so far it is carried out only at the OGE in some regions. There is currently no official data that would confirm the introduction of the oral part of the exam in 2019.

The information that in 2020 history will be made a compulsory subject has not been confirmed.

Items

Mandatory. There are still two of them: Russian language and mathematics.

In Russian, the first part contains tasks with a short answer, the second - with a detailed one. 24 points is enough to get a certificate. To enter a university, you need to score at least 36 points.

The USE in mathematics is divided into two levels: basic and specialized. Since 2019, only one exam can be selected for passing.

  • The basic level is called "mathematics for life". Here they check the general knowledge of those who do not need mathematics to enter a university. There are 20 tasks in the exam, which are evaluated on a 5-point scale. The minimum number of points is 3.
  • The profile level is taken by those who need mathematics at a university and who associate their future profession with the exact sciences. Here the tasks are more complex and in-depth. They are evaluated on a 100-point scale, you need to score at least 27 points.

If a student receives an unsatisfactory grade for a math exam, he can change the selected level of the exam and retake it on a reserve day.

By choice. There are nine items in total:

1. Social studies - at least 42 points,

2. Chemistry - 36 points,

3. Biology - 36 points,

4. Physics - 36 points,

5. Informatics and ICT - 40 points,

6. History - 32 points,

7. Literature - 32 points,

8. Geography - 37 points,

9. Foreign language: English, German, French, Spanish and Chinese.

The foreign language exam consists of written and oral parts. The written part is obligatory, for it they put a maximum of 80 points. The oral part, or "speaking", can be taken at will on a separate day. It gives a maximum of 20 points. The minimum score for a foreign language exam is 22 points.

By the way, social studies became the most popular subject of the Unified State Examination in 2018. It was passed by 53% of the participants.

Preparation

Demos. Demonstration versions of control and measuring materials (CMM) help to get acquainted with the structure, content, scores and evaluation criteria of the USE. But these are not copies of the papers that will be on the exams.

It is best to download demos from the official website - this is where the exam KIMs are developed. The same applies to printed CIMs: the copy you need should have the FIPI logo on it. Only in this way will you be able to prepare for tasks that are as close as possible to those that will be on the exams.

Open job bank. The FIPI website also has a bank with USE assignments from previous years. It is useful to solve them in order to understand the logic and structure of tasks.

Exam procedure

The examination point (PPE) is launched at 9:00. You must take your passport and a black gel or capillary pen with you. The computer that will check your work does not consider a different ink color. It's also best to grab a spare pen. Earlier we wrote about what else

In the PES, you are given an individual set of forms and KIMs. It is necessary to check the barcodes and KIM numbers with the values on the control sheet. After that, you fill in the registration fields on the USE forms and proceed to complete the assignments.

Depending on the subject, you will have 3 - 3 hours 55 minutes. Calculate how much time you will need for each part of the exam, and allow the last 15 minutes for a clean sheet. Then carefully and carefully transfer your answers from the draft to the USE forms.

Stages of exams and verification of results

⏰ Early stage. It is held for those who, for a good reason, will not be able to get into the exams in May-July. There are five such reasons:

  • planned treatment;
  • participation in sports competitions;
  • Military service;
  • participation in the exam of previous years;
  • early mastering of the program in the subject.

The last reason is an exceptional case. Rosobrnadzor sometimes meets those who confirmed the necessary level of knowledge at the last consultation before the exam.

⏰ Main stage. On it, the exam is passed by most of the students. In 2019, the main part will be held from May 27 to July 1.

⏰ Additional period. Held in September for those who want to retake the exam.

Examination. 7-14 days. Depends on how many people took the item. For example, checking results in Russian and mathematics usually takes the most time, because everyone takes them. The results can be viewed on the official portal of the exam and the website of the State Services.

Appeal

After the exam, the participant can file an appeal in two cases:

  • If the procedure for conducting the exam was violated. The application must be submitted on the day of the exam to a member of the State Examination Commission (SEC), without leaving the exam site.
  • If you do not agree with the points given. You must apply to your school within two business days of the results being announced.

An appeal cannot be made:

  • on the content and structure of USE assignments;
  • to tasks with a short answer;
  • if you violated the rules of the exam;
  • if you incorrectly completed the exam paper.

About that, we already wrote.

Retake

If you are unhappy with your USE result, you can try to improve it and retake the exam. You can retake only one exam - you will have two attempts for this on reserve days. If you can’t achieve the desired scores, arrange a retake for September. This applies to compulsory and optional subjects.

In 2019, you can only retake the Russian language or mathematics, and only if you have not scored the minimum score. Transfer days:

  • September 3 - Russian;
  • September 6 - basic mathematics;
  • September 20 is a reserve day for both subjects.

Elective subjects can only be retaken the following year.

So, this year your child will have a real test - passing the exam. You are probably worried, if not more, then at least as much as your high school student, because this is so important! It’s just that it’s very difficult to figure it all out, the children don’t want to explain anything, and the official sites are drowning in bureaucracy.

The editors of the site come to your aid and tell you about everything in detail and livelier than Rosobrnadzor. Take notes and tell the children if they don't know.

- What is the USE? Is it really what we need?

The USE is a form of state final certification for educational programs of secondary general education. In other words, the final exam at graduation from school. The exam is required to pass, without passing it, the child will not be able to get a certificate and go to college.

- OK. Will have to go. How many items do you need to submit?

There are still only two compulsory subjects for delivery - Russian and mathematics. No new items have been introduced this year, this awaits us only in 2020. The child has the opportunity to choose additional subjects of choice (required for admission). You can take the following disciplines: physics, chemistry, history, social science, computer science, biology, geography, literature and foreign languages. In addition to mathematics, all subjects are evaluated on a hundred-point system.

- What's wrong with math?

The fact is that the exam in mathematics is divided into basic and specialized. The child himself can choose what he needs (or he can choose to return the subject in two versions). A basic level is required to get a high school diploma and be able to enter a university where mathematics is not an entrance exam. The base level will be assessed on a five-point system. And an exam in mathematics at a profile level is taken by schoolchildren who plan to enter a university in which mathematics is included in the list of mandatory entrance tests. And in this case, the exam will be evaluated on a hundred-point system.

- Well, and everyone gets admission to the exam?

In order to get admission to the exam, you must:

  • apply for the exam in selected subjects (this year - before February 1);
  • get all annual grades in all academic subjects at school not lower than “satisfactory”, no twos;
  • pass the final presentation in the Russian language.

- Okay, when are these exams? And where?

The USE schedule is official, common throughout Russia. You can view it on the official portal of the Unified State Examination and on the website of Rosobrnadzor. To pass the exam, children go to another school, where exactly, the students will be told at their educational institution closer to the exams. But you won't have to go far - it will be one of the district schools.

- And what if two exams are held on the same day? How to break something?

No need to break. The schedule is already known, for all such items there are reserve days. Just when applying, you must indicate the date of participation in the exam, which is convenient for you.

- And if my child is disabled, can he not take the exam?

Maybe. For disabled people and children with disabilities, another form of passing is provided - GVE (state final exam). It is easier, but it has its drawbacks: it is also automated and cannot be an entrance test to a university. The university will not accept its results, but will appoint new entrance tests, which can be both easier and more difficult for the student.

- Okay, I changed my mind, let it be better to pass the exam. Will he provide the necessary conditions?

Certainly. Firstly, the exam time for children with disabilities is increased by 1.5 hours (and by 30 minutes for foreign languages). Secondly, you can choose a “special seating arrangement”, that is, ask the child to sit in the classroom alone. Thirdly, all children will be provided with the necessary technical equipment (if necessary: computers, magnifiers, sound amplifying equipment, Braille forms, etc.). Also, children can freely move to the toilet, interrupt for medical procedures or for a snack. In extreme cases, the exam is also carried out at home.

- Okay, but how is the exam going in general?

Each exam starts at 10:00 local time. It is undesirable to be late - no one will increase the time for you and the briefing will not be repeated. You can take with you: a passport (required), a gel, capillary pen with black ink (also required), medicines and food (if necessary), teaching and education tools (in mathematics, a ruler; in physics - a ruler and a non-programmable calculator; in chemistry - a non-programmable calculator; in geography - a ruler, a protractor, a non-programmable calculator). USE participants with disabilities - special technical equipment.

Everything else is rented at the entrance to a special place for storing things.

After checking the documents, the child will be taken to the place, he cannot change it. Then the briefing begins, if something is wrong with the set of tasks (the integrity of the packaging is broken), you need to say about it at this moment, then this will not be a reason for appeal. After the briefing, you need to open the package, make sure that everything you need is in place, the text is well printed, the paper has no defects, the task is in Russian, and not in mathematics, etc. Everything that needs to be checked will be told to the children.

Next, the registration form is filled out, after which the student proceeds to the task. After completion, you need to fold all the sheets and take them to the examiner. Everything, you can go home, it is not necessary to wait for the end of the exam.

- Can you write it off?

It's complicated. There are jammers everywhere, mobile communication is not available, even if the child brought a phone with him. You can go to the toilet, but under the “escort”, you won’t have time to read much. For a cheat sheet that they saw, a child can be removed from the exam, withdrawn and not checked his work. Plus, there are cameras everywhere. Better get ready.

- When and how will the results be announced? What if I don't like them?

The results should become known approximately three days after the date of delivery, they will be transferred to the educational institution, and they can also be checked on the Internet. If you and your child are not satisfied with the number of points, you can file an appeal within two business days after the results are officially announced. This is a personal meeting with independent experts, where you and your child can look at the work and try to prove that Gogol wrote Onegin. The truth is not the fact that it will work.

- Can they lower the score on appeal?

When considering an appeal, the conflict commission completely rechecks the examination paper. So - yes, the result can change in any direction. And if anything, it is no longer possible to appeal the appeal.

- And what is the passing score now?

36 points in Russian and 27 points in mathematics at the profile level. The rest of the minimum scores can be found at the disposal of Rosobrnadzor.

- And if you didn't?

If the student has not passed the compulsory subject, he has the right to re-take it in an additional time frame (approximately two weeks later). In case of repeated "failure" - only in the fall, in a special center, and until that time you will not be issued a certificate. Children can also retake the exam when they receive a passing score (that is, to improve their score). If it didn't work out again - in the summer with a new wave of graduates. And so on ad infinitum.

As for elective subjects, if the student has not scored the minimum number of points, retake only after a year.

- Fine. With the exam, everything seems to be clear. What about admission?

And we will tell you about it next time.

Social science is an interesting and important subject. Many schoolchildren pass it in the USE format, especially those who enter humanitarian universities. But how to prepare for the exam in social studies in order to score enough points? We will analyze this issue in detail in the article.

On the one hand, there is an opinion that preparing for the social studies exam is not difficult, and besides, it can be done fairly quickly. That is why this subject is passed, as a rule, by those students who have not yet been able to decide which university they will enter.

It is also the choice of those who do not feel sure whether he can cope with other subjects. On the other hand, passing the exam in social studies successfully is not an easy task. There are many nuances here, which we will discuss next.

Each exam task consists of three parts and 29 questions with different types of difficulty. Here are the varieties you will find:

  • multiple choice questions - in each task you must choose one or more correct answers;
  • task to identify the constituent elements of various concepts, using tables;
  • a proposal to establish a correspondence between positions from two different sets - diagrams, graphs and tables; establishing correspondence between positions that are presented in two sets (tables, diagrams, graphs);
  • a proposal to define various concepts and terms.

Part A

The first part of the examination test consists of twenty questions for which you need to give a short answer. In order to correctly complete this task, you need to have an idea about the main phenomena, processes, facts.

In addition, you will need the ability to draw conclusions from the information received, analyze it.

Note! In the tasks of part A, you can choose not one correct answer, but several.

Part B

The second part contains nine tasks on the subject, to which you will have to give a more detailed answer. To do this, it is necessary to know the basic aspects of the various social sciences.

It is also important to analyze this information correctly. Search, compare and correctly apply information when working with tasks. It is also important to have the skill to formulate your opinion and justify it.

Part C

In the third part, you will be asked to write an essay on a given topic. Tasks are formulated in the form of short statements by various scientists, public figures, representatives of culture and science.

Each statement can be correlated with one of the subsections of the course - it can be a question from the field of law, economics, philosophy or political science.

This assignment tests the student's knowledge and skills. You must accurately reveal the meaning of the proposed judgment, while using the knowledge gained in the study of all sections of the school course. It is also important to be able to formulate your own reasoning, draw conclusions from them and correctly give examples.

You can pass Part C successfully if you know by heart the assessment criteria for this assignment. They can be found at the end of each exam preparation book. To do this, cut out the evaluation criteria and stick them on cardboard. Keep this card handy at all times. You can also download examples of successful essays from the Web and compare them with the evaluation criteria you found.

As a result, you can see that those essays that are written according to the required criteria are literate and easy to read. You can analyze and edit your work with a red pen. Be in the role of a teacher - this will help a lot in preparation.

Difficulties encountered when submitting

The first difficulty lies in the fact that a student who takes this subject has many competitors - about ten times more than those who undertake to take the exact sciences, chemistry or physics. It is imperative to take this USE for those who enter humanitarian universities, in particular for those who want to become an economist or lawyer.

To pass the subject successfully, you need to score at least 70 points, and this is possible only with good preparation.

Another reason why it is not easy to pass social studies is the large amount of information that needs to be absorbed. This subject combines five humanities at once, namely:

  • right;
  • economy;
  • sociology;
  • political science;
  • philosophy.

In addition, the social science course covers such aspects as religion, cultural studies, and aesthetics. They have been closely considered in the courses of higher educational institutions for several years. And the graduate and entrant are faced with the task of first understanding each of them, knowing at least the basic principles.

There is another difficult point: in part A, they often give tasks with a catch. Even a teacher with extensive experience can puzzle over them. Such questions have a double answer.

For example, the question: "Which type of society is parliament a part of - pre-industrial or industrial?" The third option is considered correct here. It is in an industrial society that a parliament is usually formed.

But after all, in some countries this authority appeared already when industry was not developed, for example, in England or France. And in a post-industrial society, parliament, as a rule, does not disappear anywhere. In this case, everything depends on the logic of those who composed the tasks. Fortunately, there are only two or three such questions in the test. The rest suggest a more unambiguous answer.

Important! Another difficulty that you may encounter when passing the exam is making mistakes when filling out part B. Any blots, incorrect cases in words that you put even from inattention, from overexertion, can lead to you being counted as an error. The exam checks the computer, so you should be very careful.

Another catch is that part C will be checked by an ordinary person, whose point of view may be radically different from yours. Social science is a humanitarian subject, and this implies many answers.

When writing part C, it is important to correctly indicate all definitions, terms, concepts. If you confuse them, you will get a low score.

As you can see, passing the exam in social studies with a high score is not so simple. That is why it is important to carefully prepare for the surrender. And for this - to be attentive during the lessons, read additional literature, use the services of tutors.

How to prepare for the exam

So how do you successfully prepare for the social studies exam? Experienced teachers recommend the following:

  1. First, you will have to stock up on textbooks and legal documents. Special manuals for preparing for the exam will also come in handy - they contain the necessary information as concisely and concisely as possible.
  2. It would be wrong to postpone exam preparation for the last few days. Only careful work for a long time will help to get a high score. You will need at least a month.
  3. In order to successfully pass the test part, you need to know all the basic concepts of the subject. Many of them can be learned by heart. In preparation for the exam, you can make cheat sheets. This will allow you to use visual and motor memory. Of course, you should not take them with you when going to the exam. The best tactic in preparation is to memorize terms and facts using logical connections.
  4. To cope with writing an essay, you need to regularly practice performing such tasks. This will allow you to easily formulate your main idea and show all the accumulated knowledge. In order to write the exam successfully, you must be able to analyze the material, choose the right examples.

That is why it is important to devote as much time as possible to reading the necessary literature and pay attention to all definitions, terms, names. Do not try to just memorize the material, try to figure out what the meaning is.

In the event that it is difficult for you to prepare for the exam on your own, you can seek help from a competent tutor.
Regularly attend classes, then training will be most effective.

Do not miss TV programs that deal with important aspects of society and politics. You will need this in order to be able to analyze events and give suitable examples when completing tasks.

Before you start preparing, make a clear plan. For example, decide that you will prepare for two hours a day. Read literature for an hour of them, devote another hour specifically to memorizing definitions. There is still time - devote it to writing an essay. It is also important to devote several hours a week to this activity. If you want to get a high mark on the exam, do not neglect the preparation.

Note! If you have very little time to prepare from scratch, you do not need to try to master the entire course. Remember the most important definitions. Then you will be able to pass the exam at least satisfactorily. If you try, the result can be even more successful.

Find out your results

Each region independently establishes the timing and methods of notification of the results of the exam. However, the timing of verification and processing of the results should not be longer than the schedule approved by Rosobrnadzor. For example: verification and processing of the results of the exam in mathematics and the Russian language must be completed no later than six days after the date of delivery. For other subjects - in four days.

You can find out your results at the local educational authorities (on the website or a special stand) or at the points where you registered. You can also use a special service where you need to enter your registration number (indicated on the coupon that you need to keep) or your passport number.

Certificate is not issued. All results are entered into an electronic database. Their validity period is 4 years (the year of delivery is not considered). If you do not agree with the scores, then within two working days from the date of the official publication of the results, you have the right to file a written appeal at the place of registration of the exam. You can retake the exams only next year.

What to do if I passed the exam worse than last time

If there are several USE results that have not expired, it is indicated which USE results and in which general education subjects should be used. So take a deep breath and calm down.

Thus, we have described the main algorithm of actions when passing the exam. Prepare for exams, take tests and enter the best universities in the country.

By law, a graduate of previous years can apply for testing in any region of Russia - regardless of where he is registered and where he completed his education. However, if you are in the same city where you have registered at your place of residence, you will most likely have to apply in accordance with your registration, even if you live or work on the other side of the city. However, options are possible: the exact regulations for the work of registration points for graduates of past years are established by regional educational authorities and may vary slightly in different regions of Russia. That's why, if you plan to take exams outside the place of residence, it is best to call the USE hotline in your region and clarify where you are eligible to apply.

The hotline numbers can be found on the official portal ege.edu.ru in the information support section. There you will also find links to regional sites dedicated to passing the exam. It is on them that “verified”, official information is placed on the addresses of points where you can apply for the exam - with contact numbers and opening hours. As a rule, applications are accepted on working days, two or three days a week during specially designated hours.

What documents are required to register for the exam

To apply, you will need to submit the following set of documents:

  • document on complete secondary education (original);

  • passport;

  • if in the interval between graduation from school and passing the exams you changed your last name or first name - a document confirming this fact (marriage certificate or a change of name or last name),

  • if secondary education was received in a foreign educational institution - a notarized translation of the certificate into Russian.

You do not need to make copies of the documents: after the registration point employees enter all your data into the automated system, the originals will be returned to you.

What you need to know when applying for the exam

By the time of the visit to the registration point for graduates of previous years, you must finally make a list of items that you plan to take - it will be very difficult to change the "set". If school graduates are required to study Russian and mathematics, then this rule does not apply to people who have already received a complete secondary education: you can take only those subjects that are required for admission to a university.

Decide will you write an essay. For eleventh-graders, obtaining a “pass” in an essay is an indispensable condition for admission to exams, but graduates of previous years who take the exam “of their own free will” are not required to do this - they receive “admission” automatically, upon the fact of having a certificate. Therefore, it is better to clarify the issue of writing with the admission committee of the university you have chosen: is its presence mandatory, can it bring you additional points upon admission. If the answer to both questions is “no”, then you can safely not include the essay in the list.

If you are planning to take the exam in a foreign language– decide whether you will limit yourself to the written part only (which can bring up to 80 points), or will also take the speaking part (an additional 20 points). The oral part of the exam is held on another day, and if you are not faced with the task of scoring maximum points, it is not necessary to participate in it.

Choose the dates in which you want to take the exams. Graduates of previous years have the opportunity to take exams both on the main dates (in May-June, simultaneously with schoolchildren) or on an early “wave” (March-). Choose what is more convenient for you.

How is the registration for the exam for graduates of past years

The application process is quite simple, but you should not come to the registration point 10 minutes before the deadline, especially if you apply in the last weeks before the deadline: it is possible that you will have to wait in line for a while.

Documents are submitted in person. To register for exams:

  • you will have to fill out a consent to the processing of personal data and entering them into the AIS (automatic identification system);

  • employees of the check-in point will check your documents and enter your personal and passport data, as well as passport data into the system;

  • you will inform which subjects and in what terms you plan to take, after which an application for passing the exam will be automatically generated indicating the subjects you have chosen and the dates of the exams;

  • you will check the printed application, and, making sure that all the data are correct, sign;

  • the employees of the registration point will give you a copy of the application with a note about the acceptance of documents, a memo for the USE participant and instruct you how and when you will need to come to get a pass for the exam.

How much does it cost to pass the exam for graduates of previous years

The unified state exam is held for all categories of participants, including graduates of previous years, regardless of how many subjects you decide to take. Therefore, the procedure for receiving documents does not imply the presentation of receipts or payment for registration services.

At the same time, in most regions, graduates of previous years can take part in “trial”, training exams, which take place in conditions as close as possible to reality, are evaluated according to the USE standards and allow participants to gain additional training experience. This is a paid additional service offered by the educational authorities - and if you wish, you can use it. However, participation in such "rehearsals" is completely voluntary.
